Nothing to dislike. A punchy small bass amplifier with lots of features that takes up very little space. This is my third. I gave the first to my son when he was learning bass. The second I part exchanged upgraded to a much larger Laney which was far too loud for home use. So I have downsized again and these little combos are still great. And the neighbours are much happier. I preferred the old steel grilles but this is brilliant nonetheless.

Was pondering between this RB2 and a Rumble. Decided to go with this as it has a ten inch speaker and a horn. My bass guitar sounds great. Can even play my 6 string guitar through it. Small and compact and I like the ability to tip back to let the sound reach your ears. Oh and the grill cloth sparkle at night when table lamp catches the light. Good job Laney

A budget Bass amp, it is lacking in low-end bass, but is fine for practice and it has plenty enough volume to annoy the neighbours. The controls are useful and reasonably effective when considering it is being fed from a Bass guitar. There is a bit of buzz pick up if nothing is plugged in, but it quietens down in use with properly screened leads and a properly screened guitar.The small cabinet has a nice solid feel to it, and is covered with a black felt. The handle is well placed to carry it without banging into ones legs. All the controls and connectors are recessed to protect them from inadvertent knocks. The kick-back shape is handy so one can see the controls when standing up while the amp is on the floor.I've used a 3metre IEC mains lead in place of the 1.7metre lead supplied.Alas, the Aux input 'for CD player' and headphone output are mono 3.5mm jacks only, so suitable adaptors or leads will be needed to mix a stereo source into the Aux and also to feed sound out to both ears of a stereo headphones.There is no gain adjustment for the Aux input and the output volume is a bit low and lacking in low bass even when fully adjusted up from my ear-player, and useless from the non-adjustable CD player.The headphone output is low level on all my headphones, even the most sensitive and efficient, at about a tenth of the level from the ear-player and again light on low bass.I'm happy with using the amp as a basic practice amp, so will be having a look at modifying the circuits around the pair of 3.5mm jacks to sort the levels and lack of low bass.

Very impressed with this piece of equipment. It has so many use options. The delivery and packaging was excellent. I have used the RB2 for Bass Guitar use and the sound options are fantastic. Great little amp, very portable, nice tone controls, clean sound thats plenty loud enough for the house, haven't tried the audio input or headphones wish id seen the 30 watt version before this though just for a bit more meat on the bones.

I took a chance on a "used like new" laney rb1 bass amp, as I have never purchased an item in this category before I wasn't sure what to expect.What a surprise, simply a damaged box with a tear along the side is why this amp was placed in this category. wrapped up inside in pristine packaging is a beautiful amp. Not a single Mark on the amp itself or instructions etc. And for a saving of £35 it's an absolute bargainFantastic deal and very surprised at the condition. Brand new with a minimum minor damaged box, fantastic amp great sound and an overall fantastic deal

This truly is a great little bass amp. Perfect for bass monitoring at rehearsals and gigs, where the balanced DI out can be fed direct to the PA.However one BIG disappointment - The product description on Bolo is incorrect, "and if your gig requires an additional cabinet then you can simply plug it into the extension speaker jack socket provided on the rear of the amp". There is NO socket for an extension speaker, therefore I can't this amp with my spare bass cab.In every other aspect it is a really good amp.

Gelungener Bass-Übungsamp
Zunächst kann ich das bequeme Handling und den kernigen Sound loben. Es ist einer der wenigen Amps, die sich bei Bedarf wedgen lassen. So kann ich ihn auf einen Tisch oder auf den Boden stellen und der Amp strahlt mich direkt an. Das Leichtgewicht lässt sich an dem Koffergriff angenehm transportieren. Die Verarbeitung ist wertig, ich finde, er sieht auch stylisch aus.Der ausgewogene, direkte Sound mit schneller Ansprache gefällt mir, gerade auch für filigrane Techniken und schnelles Spiel, besonders zum Slappen. Die Lautstärke ist zum Üben mehr als ausreichend und der Laney ist, gemessen an seiner Größe - auch laut.. Gegen ein Schlagzeug im Proberaum wird er kaum anspielen können. Dafür ist er einfach viel zu klein. Meine Anwendung ist, den Amp im Proberaum abzunehmen, so dass er mich als Monitor anstrahlt und der Tiefendruck von der PA erzeugt wird. Mit einem XLR Kabel kann ich den Laney in des Mischpult des Proberaums einspeisen, um die PA anzusteuern.Dank der parametrischen Mitten und der Dreiband-Klangregelung lässt sich der Sound nach Geschmack zurechtschrauben. Aufgrund seiner bescheidenen Größe kann man keinen wirklich großen Tiefbass erwarten. Sind Gain und Master 12 Uhr aufgedreht (Regler = 5), dann ist auch die - ausgewogen klingende - maximale Lautstärke ungefähr erreicht. Die Stärken liegen in der detaillierten Mitten- und Höhenwiedergabe und im - nach meinem Geschmack - kernigen Grundsound. Der integrierte Compressor ist nützlich, lässt sich über den Gain regeln und beginnt unauffällig etwa ab Gain bei 12 bis 13 Uhr (Regler = 5 - 6) zu arbeiten. Es treten vom Amp keine zu erwähnenden Nebengeräusche auf. Zum Spaß hatte ich auch mal die E-Gitarre dran gehangen. Ein Transistor-Gitarren-Amp dieser Preisklasse klingt in der Anwendung auch nicht besser. Also auch als Not-Gitarren-Amp verwendbar. Praktisch sind auch der zweite Eingang, Aux in und Kopfhörer out.Fazit: Insgesamt ein wirklich gelungener, handlicher Übungsamp, an dem ich nichts vermisse und an dem ich keine Kritikpunkte finde. Günstig ist er auch. Meine Empfehlung!

Muy potente, muy elegante, buenos materiales y con un sonido muy bueno. Lo uso en casa con el volumen bajito y ofrece mucha potencia. Lo recomiendo tanto para estudiar como para tocar.

Wird schon gut sein, das Teil, nehme ich mal an. Leider kann ich dazu noch nichts näheres sagen, weil der Verstärker NICHT(!) mit deutschem Stromkabel bei mir ankam. Was bitte soll das? Ein Kabel für amerik. bzw. engl. Steckdosen? Echt jetzt? Hey Bolo ihr vertreibt das Ding hier IN DEUTSCHLAND - da wäre es doch wohl echt nicht schlecht ein Stromkabel für DEUTSCHE STECKDOSEN mitzugeben. Jetzt darf ich mir die Kiste ansehen(!) bis ich mir ein passendes Kabel besorgt habe. Immerhin wurde mir dafür ein Preisnachlass zugesichert. Dafür(!) sage ich danke!Allen die noch überlegen sei gesagt - besorgt euch ein, für euer Stromnetz passendes, Kabel dazu. Unfassbar, echt!Update: Inzw. habe ich ein passendes Kabel besorgt und jetzt endlich kann ich den Verstärker testen. Der erste Eindruck bestätigt die positiven Stimmen hier. Gute Einstellmöglichkeiten und mein Rickenbacker 4003 verträgt sich hervorragend mit dem Teilchen. Im Zusammenspiel mit dem Motörbass Effektgerät bleiben bei mir(!) keine Wünsche offen - ausser, dass alles laaaange halten möge.
