I bought these for my husband's birthday. He is a mountain leader and says that they are brilliant in lots of ways - lightweight with great magnification for bird watching in the hills. 5 stars.

For the money, I reckon these may be the best lightweight small-size bins around. I did a lot of online research before choosing to buy these and haven't been disappointed in use. These are ideal for bird watching as they are light but very bright and the magnification is large enough but not too large. Close focusing is also good. I chose this model because they are waterproof, but for £50 less you could buy the same make Ultrabright bins of similar spec, from Steiner, just not waterproof. German made and feel very durable. Nice carrying pack, good comfortable neck strap. The eyepiece covers are a bit big and clumsy to fit. As a result I lost them off the bins at first use. However, the reason you pay the money is for the quality of the experience it offers. That's why they are "Tip top" in my view.

They've got good image quality and fold up nice and small. I'm very happy with them as a portable alternative to my main binos which are much bigger, heavier and higher quality.

Ok not the smallest most compact optics but what’s the point of that if they are not useable. These are top quality better brighter and sharper than most 8x42. The case is larger but ideal for keeping the binoculars set to your pupil distance so you don’t need to keep re adjusting, with enough space in the case for a thin note pad/pencil to keep track of your sightings.

Heb meerdere kijkers in diverse vergrotingen, van de drie grote merken, en wilde deze Steiner als zeg maar werkpaard, om altijd bij je te hebben zonder angst voor beschadiging of verlies.Zou ik onbevooroordeeld de Alpha's en de Steiner naast elkaar vergelijken, dan zou ik niet de beste kunnen aanwijzen. Wildlife is degelijk, ligt goed in de hand, is super scherp met prima contrast en heeft 30 jaar garantie. Wellicht is de Leica mijn favoriet, ( trinovid, 2012-15, non HD en kwalitatief beter dan de latere ) maar ik denk dat het onbewust snobisme is.

Das STEINER Fernglas Wildlife 10,5x28 wird ein einem schicken bunten versiegelten Karton geliefert. In dem Karton befindet sich das Fernglas, eine Umhänge Schaufe, ein Reinigungstuch für die Linsen sowie eine Anleitung due auch die deutsche Sprache enthält. Auf dem Fernglas befindet sich noch eine Schutzkappe auf den Linsen, durch die man später schaut.Die Verarbeitung des Fernglases ist extrem gut. Der Körper des Fernglases ist gummiert, und wirklich sehr griffig. Die Dioptrien Einstellung ist leichtgängig. Ebenso ist die Schraube zum einstellen der Schraube leichtgängig. Die breite des Fernglases ist auch gut veränderbar. sie ist aber stramm genug, dass sie während der Benutzung sich nicht ändert.Die optische Qualität des Fernglases ist wirklich gut. Ich habe es getestet, und in der Ferne Bäume fokussiert. Hinter diesen Bäumen warne weitere Bäume die komplett vermistelt (also mit Misteln voll waren). Das war mir vorher nicht klar. In der zweiten Hälfte des Jahres habe ich nämlich vor mit diesem Jahr damit Elefanten, Wasserbüffel, und andere Tiere Afrikas zu beobachten.Dieses Fernglas ist in den Abmessungen sehr kompakt, und auch nicht zu schwer. Es ist daher perfekt auch für weitere Reisen, da es im Gepäck nicht zu schwer ist, oder Platz weg nimmt.Fazit:Das Fernglas ist sicher nicht billig, aber preiswert (Betonung auf Preis-Wert). Wenn man ein kompaktes hochwertiges Fernglas sucht, ist man mit diesem Fernglas gut bedient. Steiner gibt übrigens 30 Jahre Garantie. Ich gebe 5 Sterne.
La mayor calidad optica al menor peso.
Excelente calidad optica en una carcasa de primera. Las lentes son de primerisima clase de una nitidez y resolucion inmejorables. La relacion aumentos y objetivo muy lograda. La calidad del revestimiento hace presagiar una larga vida, si se cuida. Todo esto con un peso muy comedido. Son muy faciles de soprtar en las manos, logrando así mucha estabilidad.
