Use it to pass smog tests. Finally, it totally neutralizes the harmful effects of low sulphur diesel fuel. Lucas fuel treatment complies with the federal low sulphur content requirements for use in diesel motor vehicles and non-road, locomotive and marine diesel equipment engines the recommended dosage is 60-90 ml of fuel treatment for every 38 litres of gasoline or diesel fuel. Pour Lucas fuel treatment directly into fuel tank. Exceeding the recommended dosage is not harmful to your vehicle. One 3.785 litre bottle treats 1513 litres of fuel.

I use this in my car and motorbikes , its great , my car is diesel and motorbikes petrol , I can here the engine run a lot smoother with this and has increased the mpg slightly , it has also cleaned out my diesel engine as it used to smoke a bit when putting my foot down , and now it does not ,, 3lt V6

Genuinely impressed with this. Think I saw a vid suggesting it was good.Used in vw camper diesel and also suzuki vitara diesel. Both run amazingly much smoother and giving a genuine 10% plus improvement in consumption. The vw with 70k on the clock always felt unresponsive at low revs and looked at getting in chipped. However using this made it so much smoother at very low revs meaning changing up at lower revs, likely helps with the consumption. Even using the premium fuel from shell had little affect till I added this. Took around 4 adds to fuel but then the difference was noticeable.

Given the increasing price of fuel, this was bought at best price online at time of purchase.This is a multifunction product, mainly cleaning diesel and petrol fuel injector jets and engines, as well as increasing fuel economy through the combustion process.If the right measured amount of additive is inserted into a full tank of fuel, after just a few miles you can really feel the difference in the vehicle's acceleration, torque and responsiveness, all of which will have significantly improved.However, in order to benefit from any resultant fuel economy improvements, it is important to then resist driving aggressively due to slightly increased performance.To maximise the fuel economy you must then drive conservatively and easy, which is difficult to do the car generally feels more lively and responsive.Recommended product.

Ive been using Lucas for over 15 years, i cannot recommend how excellent this product is in all Petrol & Diesel engines, i have gained roughly 50-100 miles per tank fill, myself i use lucas every-time i top up my vehicle. Summer fuel easy 100 mile increase.Ive noticed black smoke has lessened, mpg gone up, engine smoother - to gain best results, keep using on each fill up.10/10 product - i hope the price stays low.

Saves Fuel
I have been using this product for 2 years. I can't comment on if it works as intended but I am definitely experiencing significant mileage improvement. I have a Chevy Express 3500 with the 6L. I record my mileage with each tank. I have determined and proved, that over the last two years (30,000 KM) of using this product, I am saving, on average, 2L per 100 km of fuel. My van sees 95% highway usage. I typically see 15-17L/100 km on the highway. When I add the Lucas fuel treatment, I see 12-14 L/100 km. My data shows an average savings of 5 litres of fuel per tank. My tank is 120L. At $1.50/L that saves me $7.50 per tank. I add 250 ml to my tank at a cost of $4.00. I save $3.50 per tank BUT I am also seeing a much soother starting and running engine. This product has been working well for my 6L van.
Interesting stuff!
So I've been using this in 2 cars for the last 6 weeks. A 2019 Honda Civic 1.5L and a 2016 BMW 528i 2L. Both cars very well maintained. Starting with the Honda the first tank of gas I put in 6 oz. Overall the car was running pretty good before the treatment but would shake at stop lights at times to a point of putting the car in neutral just so I wouldn't feel it. Didn't notice much of an improvement after the first tank. Second tank cut back to 4oz. Started to feel some results. No more shakes and hold the rpm to a steady 600. Third tank and the car is running the best it has in3 years. The BMW I just bought 3 months ago 84k miles in very good condition but was a bit rough and noisy running. First tank 8oz in and I could feel some things happening. Slightly better running. Second tank, 6oz in. Like the Honda the improvements began. I started to get a odd burning smell at times. No leaks so no worries. 3rd tank and still running better with the smell sometimes. I'm pretty sure carbon is burning off and that's what the smell is. I'm seeing what looks like soot on my chrome tips at times. No doubt the car starts faster and runs smoother now. I'm very interested to see how it runs after another couple tanks. Overall this stuff is a great value but don't expect instant results and I wouldn't recommend using it as a one and done. Buy a gallon and add it to the gas for at least 6 tanks of gas. Your motor didn't go bad in 400 miles and bringing it back will take some time too.
Lucas 10013 Fuel Treatment - 1 Gallon
Three stars means 'good'. Engine in my 2007 B180 CDI is noticeably quieter and smoother, especially idling, and fuel consumption reduced a little. Good value in a 1 gallon bottle, but it isn't practical so you'll need a smaller bottle. I bought a Lucas 5.25oz from a local auto parts store, used that, now refill it and store in a zip lock bag inside the cabin. At a dose of Lucas for every tank, I get 25 tanks from a 1 gallon and I think it is worth it.Edit, 19 August 2021: Four stars. After selling the first B180CDI, bought another, used Lucas in that and got great improvements - reduced consumption by 10%, engine noticeably quieter and smoother. Great buy!
