I felt compelled to write this, my first Bolo review, given that this product really does deliver on its simple aims.As other reviewers have noted, it is ergonomic and comfortable to hold, intuitive and straightforward to use, and above all simply works allowing you to focus on delivering the message of your presentation rather than the presentation itself.It implements the common USB Human Interface Device (HID) standard and hence is widely supported on most, if not all, platforms without the installation of specific drivers hence is ideal for use on company PCs whose security policy may not allow the installation of non-sanctioned 3rd party software. It works by emulating the key presses of Page Down, Page Up and B for next, previous and blank/black respectively. Perhaps less obvious is that the laser pointer button also sends an F5 key press - this is used by Powerpoint to start a presentation if still in design mode. All-in-all, if your application can be driven by these keys it can be driven by this.A useful feature not mentioned elsewhere is that the USB wireless receiver contains a discreet LED which illuminates green in response to each key press. This positive feedback confirms the working range and that the batteries are healthy. If the batteries are on their way out the LED instead illuminates red. This completely eliminates any 'I hope the batteries are going to be okay' concerns you might have prior to delivering that keynote presentation! Speaking of batteries, when you put the receiver dongle back inside the handset it automatically disconnects the power so that you can't flatten the batteries through inadvertent key presses when inside your bag.Incidentally, I note that there appears to be a version of this device without a laser pointer so make sure you're buying the right one as they look similar!All in all a high quality product - if you're looking for a decent straightforward presenter with laser pointer stop now - you've found it.

Great device, bought so I wasn’t fumbling about during an interview with my laptop whilst presenting, held it under the table, allowed me to focus on my content and interviewers without thinking about my computer. I’m sure it’s excellent for its intended stand up presentations also. Fits nicely in the hand too, nice and neat. No problems connecting, plug and play, I don’t regret this purchase in the slightest.

I ordered this primarily for my own use but it will inevitably get passed around during sales presentations from person to person. as I was drawn by the seeming simplicity of the device from the pictures.Happy to report that it operates exactly as expected. Laser button at minight; next chart / down arrow at three o'clock; previous chart / up arrow at nine o'clock; blank screen at six o'clock. Some equivalent products have got too many buttons, many people find themselves struggling over what to press in that case when they are suddenly handed the stage and have to quickly present.USB dongle to connect to PC installed with minimal fuss on my Windows 7 HP laptop, also on a different Macbook.The USB dongle 'docks' in the handset when not in use, very important for minimising risk of splitting up the parts when traveling etc.The unit has a nice weight to it and feels like a quality product... the matt feel plastic on the back adds friction and will be harder to let slip out of your grasp than the shiny plastic on most other products.Overall you get the impression that someone at Kensington has sat down, looked at the shortcomings of other similar products out there, and addressed each one in a simple way.Definitely recommended.

Great product. Instant connection, reasonable range (easily 5 metres) and no laser.The USB dongle is inside the battery compartment, which means removing the back to obtain and replace the USB dongle each time you use it. Hopefully, the plastic clips on the batter compartment cover can withstand this many attachment/replacement motions. The older version of this had a dongle that slid and clipped into the unit, which did not require removing the cover. It was much easier to use and larger so less likely to lose it.The unit has a small switch on the left-hand side to switch on/off. This is good for saving energy but I forget nearly every time to turn it on before starting a presentation. The older version had an automatic power off function which was likely activated by re-inserting the USB dongle in the end. Without this mechanism, there is a switch instead to do it manually.The batteries are AA x 2 in the back which makes the unit a little heavy. In terms of size, it is the same as the previous version. The old version had AAA x 2 which was necessary because of the space taken by inserting the USB dongle into the end of the unit. I am not sure if the new design was to move to AA batteries which required a smaller USB dongle but I did slightly prefer the older unit.

Hoewel het zou moeten werken vanaf 15 meter afstand, werkt het niet verder dan 5 meter, soms zelfs korter. Om die reden zijn er veel verstoringen tijdens de presentaties.

As a professional speaker, I've used dozens of different laser presenters. The Kensington Remote Red Laser Presenter is by far my favorite. Its small size fits my hand nicely and - due to the clearly identifiable buttons and their locations - I never have to look at the remote to figure out where to press.

Surpris lors de l’ouverture du produit car il manquait le récepteur comme sur la vidéo de présentation (capture de la vidéo) J’avais déjà le modèle où le récepteur entrait dans la télécommande mais finalement en cherchant sur internet, le récepteur est dans le compartiment des piles.
