LUBEGARD AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) PROTECTANT is for use in all automatic transmissions and manuals requiring an ATF, including heavy duty transmissions, such as Allison. Use with all synthetic or mineral based DEXRON, MERCON & OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) ATF’s (except Ford Type F ATF & CVT applications). Lubegard controls heat and is especially effective in today’s hotter running front wheel drive vehicles. It contains LXE (Liquid Wax Ester) Technology and their derivatives, base oils and conventional additives. Lubegard is designed to raise the thermal and oxidative stability level of automatic transmission fluids, so when it operates at elevated temperatures, it does not thin out and pyrolize, burn or react with oxygen and form deposits. The use of LUBEGARD ATF Protectant will not cause clutch friction upset or slippage. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: For normal applications, add 1 oz. (29.6 mL) per quart (Liter) of ATF to the total transmission capacity (including torque converter) with motor idling in park. Do not overfill.

Smoother shifts almost immediately
This product works. I have a 4L80E Transmission that's practically new, and it ran only on Dexron 6 and nothing else. The shifts were okay, but a few times, the 1st to 2nd gear upshifts were noticeable -- not harsh or anything, but it felt firmer than I like it to be. I removed 10 fluid oz of ATF and added 10 fluid oz of this Lubegard additive. After driving about 10 to 15 miles, the results were already noticeable. The transmission shifts much smoother, especially the 1st to 2nd gear upshifts. Overall, I'm happy with this additive.

Folks LUBEGARD is the best additive for transmissions period. Perfect for maintaining your transmission in perfect working condition. Add to new transmissions for peak performance and longevity. I was starting to have minor issues with my 2010 mountaineer 5r55s transmission. A hash reverse engagement every now and then. Added 2 bottles and within 100 miles issue gone. Folks lubegard is one of the only additives recommend by vehicle manufacturers (Google it) that says something about this product. NOW this is important. Lifeguard IS NOT a new transmission in a bottle. If you have broken hard parts or completely worn out clutch plates and bands you need a new or rebuilt transmission. If you have sticky valves/selinoids/converter shudder/harsh or delayed shifts/dirty poorly maintained transmission drain the fluid add lubegard and new fluid. This stuff works. A lot of Transmission shops add lubegard when they rebuild them. If you do not believe what I have said Google this website (bitog lubegard review) and read the hundreds of post on lubegard then you decide.

It’s a great product. A lot of people do not know about it. It’s one of the few additives that actually work. All the transmission shops use it highly recommend it.
I put in only about a third of the recommended dose and experienced an immediate improvement
I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey on my second transmission which started to act up again with rough shifting. I put in only about a third of the recommended dose and experienced an immediate improvement. I have full dose now for over two years and it got even better and is still great now. IMO if your car has a known issue with auto trannies you should use lubeguard for prevention.

I've used lubegard many times over the past 20 yrs and it really works. It's a great protective additive for most auto transmissions. I've even seen it correct shifting issues. Use it, it will surprise you.
