However I am extremely disappointed. Most of the songs could have been written by a twelve year old (once you realise that "valleys and Vales" rhymes with "Wales" you are half way to writing most of these songs).I was also expecting a big welsh voice like Tom Jones' or Shirley Bassey's - once again I was disappointed.

Its great to hear that Rob is versatile in this new presentation of Welsh based songs. He is a prolific song writter and highly versatile singer. Thank goodness he has his own style and is not trying to copy any existing Welsh singers.

My family was born and raised in Wales, I myself was born there. I can tell you this would be the best purchase you could make for your year. The love of God and Country this man has, luminates from his cd. Every song is about Wales. It is the most beautiful place on earth. Listening to this will convince you, as this Welshman pours his heart and soul into his cd about his lovely mountains and valleys. It will raise the hair on the back of your neck and bring a tear to your eye when listening to this brilliant cd. If you have never been to this wonderful, loving country, after hearing this you will want to visit no doubt. Enjoy the blessings of voice and love in Rob Allen's "My Tribute to Wales". We need this kind of love in our hearts in this day in time no matter where you are from. Purchase this one and you will not be sorry. It makes you feel like the hand of God has reached down and touched your soul.

I know Rob Allen as a top Country singer and this venture into more Welsh related songs shows his passion for his homeland. This comes across clearly in the lyrics and delivery. It is a must for any Welshman who is far from home---and this from an Englishman. Dont forsake your country music though please.

I am a Welshman and have lived in England for over 40 years. It is great to listen to an artist who makes me want to go back home every time I listen to the CD.On this CD there is a track called More Precious Than Gold and that is an apt description of this CD.

Rob Allen has given to the world a gift of song, as his voice sings of his love of God and Country. No other has made me ache to be home in Wales as this wonderful man has. I Love the country I was born in. Its beauty is beyond words. The love of the villagers given without being asked, is not found anywhere else in this world. God, Pride, honor, family and song is what this land of unsurpassed beauty is all about.You listen to this and you will feel it deep in your heart and soul. I listen to it and I can smell the mountain air, I can hear the villagers visiting with one another over the front stoop or the fence. I can see the vista's of the mountains when I close my eyes. I can see the Aunties and Uncles now gone, as they were.This cd is so very precious. It is a must have for any Welshman or woman. Its a must have for anyone that has compassion when they see the love one has for another. You will be so pleased to have this when you feel sad or lonely. Just knowing there is a place like this in this world is a comfort. This is the second I bought. I am giving it as gift to my daughter so she can pass it on to my grandchildren and know from where there gran came.If you are from this country, now off in another land, after hearing this new cd of Rob's you'll find a way back some day soon. Don't let a moment more pass. Buy this cd and you will be happier, than with any other purchase you have made in your days. You will feel the Grace of God.
