I bought two bitter sprays this cherry one and an apple version from another vender, neither worked on my 9 month old puppy. I think she tastes the bitterness, she licked it and continued to lick her lips for a while but it wasn't enough to deter her from chewing. Both me and my other half tasted it to see whether it just isn't strong enough but it was awful and it lingers for ages. I wish I could find something that works, she won't stop chewing her bed, our cushions, any clothing she finds... Ironically she has her own soft toys but she never destroys them its just our things she wants to wreck. I'll continue using them to see if she eventually gives up but I was really hoping for an instant look of distaste and avoidance from her. The smell of the cherry one is lovely so that is one bonus point it had over the apple which smelled of citronella.

My dog had a cyst removed between his paws. He was doing well, but when he was in Kennels, he started to lick his wound. The kennels recommended this product. It smells really nice to us humans, but the complete opposite to dogs. When I picked my dog up, they gave me the name of the product, and I was able to order a bottle from Bolo. The Bitter Cherry Spray works. It's a good quality product and does what it says on the tin! Cost wise, it offers great value for money as this should help any wounds to heal without you dog or pet licking them excessively. The only problem I encountered was sometimes it was difficult to spray the product onto the affected area because the pump was stiff. The size this comes in should last a while.

Why did you choose this product over others?:This did not stop my dog from licking his skin and fur. However, I did taste it myself to check, and it was horrible. Maybe my dog's urge to pick is just too strong for this product.

Puppy number one was an angel sent from somewhere very nice indeed. He never did chew anything and we never needed this spray.Puppy number two came from the pit of somewhere dark and nasty and has attempted to chew pretty much everything in the house at least once.Rather than resign myself to chammelled furnishings, screaming NO NO NO all the time, and rapidly advancing grey hair (on me) I resorted to this spray, and it worked. On first chew, puppy skidded backwards and made hack-hack noises, sneezed, went back, sniffed and wandered off to try somewhere else. I spend half a day following her around with the spray slowly deterring her from everything.And it worked.Puppy decided, without admonishment from me, that some things tasted horrid but her toys and chew sticks tasted just fine. She learned this herself with no stress.Not only that, puppy has had an operation recently and I used this spray next to the wound (it says on the pack that it is safe to do this) to deter licking. Puppy had experienced the scnet and taste before so she sniffed, gave me a disgusted look, left her wound alone and is in rude health as a result.It does not smell to humans very much, more like the faint scent of alcohol than anything else, and it does fine on carpets furnishings and the corner of a leather sofa. On wood it did leave a little darkening, but nothing that good polish could not bring out, and I have no veneered items in the house so cannot comment on veneered surfaces. All other surfaces are clean, unstained and, more importantly, toothmark-free.I would highly reccomend this product for either anti-chew treatment or else after an operation.It worksSimples!If you liked the review, please click below!

We have three French bull dogs, one adult two puppies. The puppies are chewing table and chair legs.Sprayed this and they licked all the spray and continued to chew. The spray seams to encourage more interaction and chew to out table and chairs
Este producto no vale para nada el perro lo chupa
Tras probar el producto y observar resultados Siento mucho decir que este producto no vale para nada, mí perro se chupa, se lame aún más la pata desde que se lo estoy aplicando, con este producto te venden la moto, compra y verás como no da resultados, este producto se convierte en una golosina para mí perro, supongo que para el tuyo también. En fin....compra y comprueba si no te molesta invertir a fondo perdido un dinero y no precisamente 5 euros.
Inefficace
Le produit est censé être amer, mon chien lèche le produit et mordille les endroits où je l'es vaporisé. Aucun effet dissuasif. Je vais continuer avec mon vinaigre blanc qui est bien plus efficace.

Tastes gross but works.
This product works great. My dogs lost interest in chewing really quickly after I started using this! I understand why because of you spray too much you can taste it in the air. It’s gross.
