5.0 out of 5 stars Really Works!
I was a bit dubious about this, but it was worth gambling £30, as a new rear screen is nearly £300! The instructions were very clear, and the repair process was simple. 24 hours later, I had a working heated rear screen. Probably won't work in every case, as some of the pad needs to have survived on the window.
4.0 out of 5 stars Follow instructions and it works!
I bought this as the 2nd hand dealer I got my car from decided that a scraper is an appropriate method of removing the old dealers rear windows sticker (thanks lads!) - Used it to repaint approx. 2 metres of line (2 long sections and a few little bits here and there) and it performed well. The painbrush and template are garbage, but a bit of micropore tape and a poundshop paintbrush and I was done. Follow the instructions, it works well. Try to rush, it'll go wrong. It seems to be better for smaller repairs than for long bits, but it's well worth it :)
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked a treat
I repaired 5 broken elements on the back window - these elements are very fine. The breaks were up to a 15cm in places; seems that the previous owners had something in the back that scrapped off the elements.I did what one of the other reviews did and used painters (Green) tape to give me the lines I needed. Make sure that the window and the element silk screen backing are clean - I used an IPA solution. Put on one coat and let it dry for a minute and then re apply until the line is opaque. I didn't use the brush that came with it but a very fine watercolor paint brush. Before it totally dries lift off the tape - peeling away from the new element. I then touched up any places that I thought need it. I then allowed it so thoroughly dry for a week and then tested it with multi meter for continuity - all was good. The acid test - did it work. Yes it did! We've had a couple of frosty mornings and the repaired elements did their job ok. Very pleased.
1.0 out of 5 stars Was really hopeful, to no luck
Had this product sitting around for a few weeks before I tried it. One of the lines of my rear defogger had stopped working and it was visible where it had burnt out and separated. I applied this product on as the instructions said but the liquid was not very viscous, no matter how many layers I put on. I must have applied about 10 layers, waiting between each layer so it could dry, but it never got opaque and never made a solid line. In the end, I gave up hoped for the best, leaving it to dry for a day. Tried to defog the back window after it had dried and it hadn’t worked. Also, the liquid comes in a bag which is super hard to rip open with your hands, leaving the bag stretched and difficult to pour/ dip the brush into which was a bit of a headache. If it had been a bottle to dip into, it would have been much easier. Not sure if I just got a rubbish one or if they’re all like it, but mine did nothing but leave an annoying mess on my window which I’ll now have to see if I can scrape off without damaging my rear defogger even more.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff once in place, but can be hard to use
I am reviewing the repair paint for the elements, not the epoxy glue for the terminals. The paint itself works fine once you get it in the right place, but there are issues. Think through how you will get close-up access to the break with the stencil, a small brush and a steady hand. A hatchback is probably easy, a small saloon or convertible maybe not so much. Then there is getting the line thin and straight; even the supplied stencil is not as thin as my elements which means that the repairs show up clearly. Using masking tape can give a thinner line, but again, you need good access to get a very thin even gap between two pieces. Then there are problems with the paint peeling off when the stencil or tape is removed. Trial and error suggests removing it before the paint dries, but it is not foolproof.I have managed to fix one break so far and that line now works fine. I have four others on which I have so far tried and failed.
5.0 out of 5 stars It does work - but ignore the instructions
This product worked for me, I bought it to repair 4 defogger grid lines which had been damaged and no longer worked. Instead of using the stencil to repaint the lines I used some blue painters masking tape. The instructions say to remove the stencil within 30 minutes, but the first time I did this it also pulled off the lines I had painted (as some others had said). The trick is to remove the stencil almost immediately after you have applied the paint, whilst it is wet it will stay on the window. Then let it dry and repeat the process when you apply the second coat of paint.
2.0 out of 5 stars Expensive and does not stick
Unlike some other products of this type, the defogger paint at least conducts electricity, but that's about the only positive. I paid £30 for this and the price has gone up again. Unfortunately, if you paint the lines on using masking tape, the paint comes off with the masking tape once dry.I also had to pay almost £5 postage to return it - all other Amaxon returns are free - £5 is too much to pay to return something that doesn't work.
5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended
Having frustratedly tried to fix my rear window tab back on in several occasions - I finally bought this kit and had it fixed within ten minutes. Great kit does a fab job. My aygo rear window heater is back up and running. Would highly recommend. If your a lady don't be scared of this product comes with good instructions and everything you need. If the product doesn't work you've probably go a break elsewhere in the circuit
The glue doesn't work
Tried to fix the ben but the glue doesn't work although i have followed the instruction and tried twice

Works well if following instructions
Worked well. Used it to reattach a heater grid tab back onto the window. Have to remember to use the area of the window with conductor still present. The tab broke off and took some of the conductive surface with it. Glued the tab in another spot.
Does the job.
I got this because I had two lines not working on the back window of my car. It came with both a repair kit for the the printed lines on the windows and a glue kit for the tab that connects the printed elements to the electrical system. In my case the lines were not working but the break wasn't a gap in the line. Instead you could see where it was discolored on the outside of the window. I used the kit an painted it in, and saw that it had filled in the discolored spot. After letting it dry I tested it out and my the two formerly non working lines worked again. Others comment the color doesn't match. True enough, but it does do the job. I used Frog Tape to keep my lines clean when I painted them on.I thought I didn't need the tab glue but then my Jeep's rear defrost wasn't working at all. It turns out the tab had fallen off. I didn't have an ideal connection point for gluing it back but I cleaned it up followed the instructions and glued the tab back on. After that the defrost on the jeep worked. For me that was a nice bonus since I hadn't gotten the kit for the tab repair. The photo shows one of my repairs. I taped wide intentionally due to the kind of discontinuity in that spot. That may or may not have helped with the repair.Overall it seems expensive but it works.
