I love this not cheese, cheese sauce!It is not an instant cheese sauce. It requires heating in a saucepan with liquid to thicken slowly the same as any packet cheese sauce from the supermarket does. However I have added this to some water and whacked it in the microwave, taking it out at intervals to stir and have found it thickens nicely and MOST of the time has no lumps, just make sure you stir it every 30 second or so. This way is more convenient for me and only takes a couple of minutes.I find this sauce thickens nicely although you sometimes have to add more powder than is recommended. IMHO it has more cheese flavour than "normal" cheese sauces and is much lower in fat which is a great bonus, It also has flavour of spices and vegetables which add to the cheese flavour and enhance it. I am not a vegan but choose this over other cheese sauces as I feel the flavour is better and it is better for you than other fat ladden sauces. Although it is primarily a vegan cheese sauce I also use it to enhance the flavour of non vegan cheese sauces to cut down on the amount of cheese used for health purposes. This is a very versatile product and I would recommend for vegans and health concious vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

It's great as a cheesy thickener in meals such as baked beans, potato au gratin, soups, but not as a creamy mac-n'-cheese or nacho cheese. If you don't want to add too much water to your meals, reconstitute in cold broth or whatever sauce you're using (make sure it IS cold), then add the mixture to finish cooking - that thickens the sauce, giving the "cheesy" texture and flavor. xx

Okay as a cheese substitute but not very cheesy however I always preferred cream mature cheese so may be due to my taste preference

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I read the reviews which almost put me off. Thankfully I took the chance and I loved it. It arrived today and I made a little cheese sauce to go over dinner. Taste while you mix. If it's slightly powdery...add a tiny bit more water at a time and you will get it perfect. It's very creamy, quick easy and tasty. Wish I had taken a pic of it over my potato and Broccoli. Will be ordering more 😁

I was very excited to try this for a vegan mac and cheese. The powder before reconstitution smells very cheesey and creamy, so I was looking forward to what I was expecting to be a very good vegan cheese sauce. Despite my disappointments further on, it was very easy to prepare as you only need to add water (although I also added some nutritional yeast for savouriness, which didn't really make much of a difference tbh) and only took a few minutes to thicken after being transferred to the saucepan. Now the taste - literally nothing, like eating thickened vegetable stock with much less flavour (yuck) with a very odd, grainy texture and unpleasant mouthfeel. However, I don't want to be completely negative with this review so I'll praise it for its low calorie content (around 70 cals per 300ml of product - about enough for one serving, and almost completely fat-free) and ease of preparation. Perhaps there are ways to improve the sauce by adding further ingredients like soy milk or vegan cheese - I will probably try this next time as I don't want to throw away and waste the whole product. However if you're looking for a vegan cheese sauce mix that actually tastes like cheese but don't want to add 10.5 billion additional ingredients to actually make it palatable, this product probably isn't for you. But if you like gooey flavourless vegetable stock with the consistency of some strange alien secretion, I say go for it! #tea

great product, tasty, good value for money I think as it lasts some time, dairy free, healthy, easy to use, can also utilise as extra flavouring to stews, any dish as its light enough powder, mixes in / sprinkles well :) can recommend:)

What brought me over tô this offer was value for money as a pack of 3, under £2 per tub. That was well priced and I’m glad I didn’t pay any more for the products.Taste-wise: not as cheesy and more of a very oniony taste :(That should be said because for a cheese and onion flavour it’s a great sauce that be very versatile in a vegan kitchen. But for a cheese sauce it lacks the cheesy punch :(I wouldn’t not buy again and I would only recommend to people looking for a regular cheese and onion flavour usually found in a pack of crisps

Seit 2 Jahren lebe ich Vegan. Aus Ethischen und Gesundheitlichen Gründen. Fleisch fehlt mir überhaupt nicht dafür aber Käse des öfteren vor allem bei Lasagne Pizza und Pastagerichten. Die Sauce ist ein Superersatz auch für Menschen mir Laktoseintoleranz.Schmeckt sehr Käsig. Vielseitig verwendbar und wird schön sämig. Und wenn ist kaum ein Unterschied zu den Tütensaucen von Namenhaften Herstellern in denen Übrigens kein Krümmel Käse drin ist dafür aber Knochenmehl und jede Menge Glutamat...dann doch lieber die Teurere aber ergiebigere Vegane Alternative

Although obviously processed and little if any nutritional value, although it is low fat and low calorie, I like the stuff and use it occasionally on bean or lentil macaroni. It takes like 'junk', which is what I was looking for. If you expect it to taste 'pure' or 'natural', don't bother. If you want fake cheese sauce, you will probably like it. The ingredient list really isn't bad, I will post that above in the questions since someone asked.

When wanting to make a large mac and cheese dinner this isn't enough cheese to do it. It's the tiniest of cans. And when mixed with water it makes the tiniest amount of cheese. Also, it has zero taste! It is a waste of my money in my opinion! Buy beyond better cashew cheeses.

nicht zu verwechseln mit echter Käsesoße. Man muss etwas nachwürzen, aber ansonsten ist es dem Original sehr ähnlich. Ich kann es weiterempfehlen. Aber bekanntlich sind Geschmäcke verschieden :)

Overall, not impressed. Small size jar, only fair taste, consitancy is not what I expected.
