We still use an old fashioned percolator but todays loose coffee is more suited to filter papers, hence the need to strain some of the bigger particles. This replaces a very old plastic tea strainer that broke after several years use. It is fine although hubby complains it isn’t easy to clean !

Good little strainer, plain and simple, does the job very well. The mesh is quite fine, so you don't get clumps of tea leaves in the bottom of your cup. Perfect for those of us trying to cut down on the plastic. I was surprised by how much better tea tastes too when it's not bagged up. So much fresher tasting. If you're on the fence about making proper tea in a pot with leaves, grab one these plus a teapot and some loose tea and give it a go.

Bit disappointed with this strainer. It was very small and not as strong as I expected. We squeeze the tea bags in the strainer and i felt it wouldn’t cope with this. In the end I saw a much better, stronger, mug sized strainer in a supermarket for half the price, so this is now my reserve.
