Bought the largest size, 0.45 and they are great.We really wanted these as they look so cool but also the functionality of them keeping my hot drinks a lot hotter for longer was also very appealing.A lot of people seem to have complained about them breaking, being brittle and not being stable on a surface due to the rubber pressure valve at the bottom. Mine are fine standing up and don't find them being brittle at all. Don't get me wrong, they do feel a little different to how you would expect but that is because they are made of borosilicate glass opposed to normal glass meaning they are lighter so gives the sensation of brittleness but I have found the strong and when my wife drops them in the sink and they don't break, I generally count that to mean they are pretty strong!Overall, great looking mugs, the large size is indeed pretty large so you better be sure you want that much coffee before ordering! Lightweight due to a good use of borosilicate and finally they keep my coffee hot for a lot longer than my normal ceramic mugs, so much so I already have 6 of these and will get a couple more to bin all the ceramic stuff!

I initially got these for my fiancé as a gift when he bought a coffee machine, since then we've replaced all our mugs with these beauties. Yes they are expensive, but really you get a whole different experience drinking from these than any other mug. I love that you don't have to use coasters, they are cool to the touch even with the hottest drink in them. Making a coffee with them becomes an experience, as you can see the liquids mixing inside the mug which is usually hidden. I love serving guests a drink in them, it really looks spectacular having a hot chocolate with whipped cream in these and creates a talking point. I thought the branding of Bodum underneath would bother me but when there's a drink in there I don't notice it, plus it means you know you got it from a good brand when there's quite a few copycats about. The 0.45l ones have easily replaced the large mugs my fiancé used to swear by, whilst still being easy to carry and not seeming too big. Finally, as it's glass, cleaning is easy with a simple wipe with a sponge, or being dishwasher safe they can go in there no problem. I have had no problems with leakage in between the layers or breakage. 10/10 mugs.

These are high quality mouth blown glasses that provide excellent insulation to your hot or cold beverage, they are very light weight and certainly show a sense of craftsmanship in this industrial age. In this sense I think they provide value for what they are worth. The patented silicone valve works perfectly at managing changes in pressure and reduces chance of condensation building up internally.This is a delicate glass product which can inevitably break, especially if you have hard tiled floors or granite work tops. However they are dishwasher safe, I've noticed no weakening or clouding as a result of dishwashing. They are stronger than you think at times, I once knocked one off the side went to catch it but instead threw it into the open washing machine drum and it survived to my shock and relief. With a bit more care they can last a fair time, Mine have both lasted a year and are still going strong and look as new. If you are looking for something stronger, consider a mug, duralex glass or a thicker non insulated glass.

The capacity when filled to the brim is actually 18 fluid ounces and not 15 fluid ounces.It's very good, therefore, for hot chocolate, but probably too big for tea, and possibly coffee, I rarely manage to finish a whole coffee before some has gone cold.The insulation & general quality is very good, however it is made of glass and will break if you drop it or smack it into things but it's fine in the dishwasher.Keeps cold things cold & hot things hot...I have a hot cup of tea and a choc ice in mine right now ;-)

I bought two on 22nd July 2022. This morning the bottom inside the glass shattered. Today it is 3rd April 2024. I think that is seriously good for a glass-walled mug, considering it has been filled up to 5 times daily with solid ice cubes and cold water from the day I bought it, I think that shows strength and quality. I'm buying 2 more today.

These are great glasses, I bought them over two years ago and don't write reviews until I know how good or bad something is. I use the glasses at least twice daily for coffee. I bought them mainly because my coffee would go cold in a normal mug over the time I took to drink it which I didn't like. Using these glasses the coffee stays hot until I've finished which is perfect for me. It's a bonus that you can see the coffee through the glass and I don't know why some other reviewers said the glasses were very fragile, I have not broken mine and I stir the coffee with a metal spoon and have lightly bumped the glass whilst washing them against the sink and tap and they have been fine. I do hand wash them as the dishwasher doesn't get filled fast enough for them to be ready when I need them for the next cup of coffee. Absolutely excellent glasses.

Heading says it all really. Loved these- especially the way the machined coffeed layered up with frothed milk and you could see through the glass - exquisite. Nice shape, finish, look, balance, weight . Unfortunately my son dropped a tube of toothpaste on one which was enough to smash it, and after about 12 weeks the other is losing its vacuum and condensation shows between the layers - frosting of tiny cracks on base although not handled roughly. If I hadn't enjoyed these so much three stars would have been ludicrous. But a tenner a month for them (paid £30 lasted 3 months) has been a wee bit of a luxury.If Bodum offer me a replacement cup for the one that frosted I'll review again.
Best price around for a quality product

IMPROVED! Bodum Bistro Double-Wall 15 oz. mugs are in constant use in our house
We've been using these Bodum 15 oz. mugs for two years now, which I call my "newer" mugs. Explanation: I originally purchased three Bodum 15 oz. mugs several years ago, perhaps in 2007. I still have one of those original mugs that I keep safe from daily use and don't mix with the "newer" ones because the original one is indeed very fragile. I broke two from that same batch due to their thin, delicate nature. The "newer" ones from 2009 are much sturdier, with thicker glass. My conclusion is that Bodum has improved their double-walled glassware considerably. These "newer" ones are used daily by my husband and I for everything we drink, hot or cold, all day long. These are my personal favorite beverage containers of all time due to their beauty and function.UPDATE: Bought two more! This is the fourth time in 5 years or so that I have purchased a pair of these 15 oz Bodum mugs. The first two were so light and delicate that I broke one almost immediately, so bought another one. The next two I bought from Bolo in 2009, (very well packaged), and these were thicker and sturdier, but I still broke one. This was no fault of the design or structure, I was simply clumsy. So, now I bought another pair from Bolo and was very surprised when they arrived. They are by far heavier and stronger than my 2009 purchase. Took me at least a day to get used to the difference. Now I don't notice it at all, but am aware that these are much more durable than the 2009 ones, so feel even more confident using them. I love these mugs, and so does Hubby.My conclusion is that Bodum has improved their double-walled glassware considerably. These "newer" ones are used daily by my husband and I for everything we drink, hot or cold, all day long. These are my personal favorite beverage containers of all time due to their beauty and function. Just hope I can go at least another couple of years before I dash another one into some unforgiving surface!Bolo! Please note, these are packaged well, and much stronger than previous versions! Please sell these again.

Great size at 450ml & perfect for those of us who love a decent sized coffee, tea or any other drink! Extremely well made with the look & feel of high end glass. Stylish & sturdy. Arrived in perfect condition & very well protected in packaging with genuine branded packaging & leaflet as well as logo & markings on the product itself. Will update if any issues but I dont think there should be. These are far superior in quality & construct than the M&W brand. Very happy & worth the price (on sale)
The perfect coffee mug
I have these mugs in sizes from espresso to 15 oz. They are attractive. Keep the beverage hot and is cool to the touch thanks to the double wall.
Perfect Size
I like the cup ring's size and the mug's diameter. Hold the temperature for a decent amount of time. Underneath the mug is a rubber plug for condensation control. It is the best and most high-quality coffee cup in my collection.
