Bought for a family member who has multiple disk herniations and on severe lower back pain. This brace provides support for the back especially while at work - couldn’t do without it. However I think it’s a bit on the pricey side

I've had chronic lower back problems since I got whiplash after a fall 30 years ago.In recent years age has exacerbated the problem to the point where I've been seeing a chiropractor.A couple of months ago I determined that, along with the various exercises the chiropractor gave me to do, I needed to try and stop the problems before they began, so I bought this belt. I use it when I'm working on the computer etc. and if I have to lift anything heavy, and it's made all the difference.I certainly notice it if I don't wear it when I'm sitting at my desk. My chiropractor was initially sceptical, but when she saw it she said it seemed very good and would be okay if I didn't use it too much. Usually I have to wear it for 2 - 3 hours each day.If you suffer from lower back pain and need something whilst you're working at a desk or computer I'd certainly recommend this.

I bought this as a replacement as this product really does give relief and support. It is comfortable to wear over a fair period (most of a day) when needed.I would and could not do without it.

Bought when in terrible pain. I wore this when the pain got too much to cope with (I can't take pain killers). It even enabled me to help shift beds & ladders with no pain or aggravation of the back problem, as we had a very short time-frame in which to empty a relative's home. When I eventually got to see the physio she said she didn't recommend them and was very negative about back braces; however I'm definitely keeping mine as there was no way I could have coped without it. I understand that weight-lifters apparently wear some sort of back-thingy to protect their backs so yes I will wear it again if I have any more furniture to shift!!

Great for Low Back Pain, Buy Suspenders Too

I appear to be in the early stages of a herniated disc, with discomfort in my left butt, hip and leg, and tingling sensations in my left leg and foot when standing in one position. It has not yet advanced to actual sciatic pain. My chiropractor suggested I try a back brace to be able to work (where I stand a lot)without the tingling (which is counterproductive). I ordered this brace and use it WITHOUT the little detachable lumbar pad, at my chiropractor's recommendation. It is really great. It does prevent the tingling and makes my work situation much easier. I tried a different brace before this one but, while it stopped the tingling, it was not as nice or as adjustable. I have a 32" waist and this brace works very well for a wide range of sizes.I've researched pros and cons of braces and one word of advice is to only wear one when it is needed, ideally only a few hours a day, because it can contribute to muscle atrophy. Another caution about braces and lifting: they can cause one to feel overconfident and to lift more than they should and therefore contribute to injury or increased injury, so one has to use common sense. It is ideal if you have a knowledgeable health practitioner who can work with you regarding your ailment (if you have an ailment) and regarding the use of a brace.This is a very well made, high quality brace, which is relatively comfortable (as these things go). It is definitely superior to some of the other braces on the market and I highly recommend it. The the only thing I don't like about it is that, unlike some braces, it does not come with shoulder straps, which would allow you to loosen it and keep it around your waist when it is not needed. This can be very useful when you use the brace intermittently during the day and need it to be readily available for use. For this purpose, I bought a pair of McGuire-Nicholas "115" heavy duty black suspenders (the type used for holding tool belts, etc.; available on Bolo and at some hardware stores). They are very adjustable and work well for holding the brace when it is loosened.

Replacing my previous MUELLER belt bought 15 years ago which is still functional but getting a little tired . Can feel the difference in back support already

I bought it for my mother-in-law who has problem of slip disc. She has used it for three days, few hours everyday and has been feeling a lot of comfort in the pain. Although, she has to take off the extra triangular support for lumber from the back. Nice product with two straps, which can give custom adjustment for the spine and core muscles. I recommend this product.
