But then I read a review online that piqued my interest, and I bought a pack of five.These are now my notebooks of choice. They take fountain pen ink remarkably well, and the same goes for pencil. (You'd be surprised how many modern notebooks are too slick for pencil.)It's all very well having a ten-quid Moleskine or Rhodia Webnotebook, etc., for a journal that you'll keep forever. But in my opinion it's simply unreasonable and silly to shell out serious dosh on everyday notebooks, especially if, like me, you go through them in a few days.Anyway, these little notebooks are among the best you can get in the cheap camp, and better than many, many in the stupidly-expensive camp. It's very nice to have a notebook that you enjoy using, and at the same time are not intimidated about writing in because it's so bloody posh.And that's what I think.

Wonderful old fashioned item. Used it yesterday at the Cheshire Show to note down what everyone spent. Keep one in my pinny pocket for taking notes during the day. Takes up no room at all. Always have one within reach. Great value.
