Estée Lauder was an American businesswoman. She was the co-founder, along with her husband, Joseph Lauder, of Estée Lauder Companies, her eponymous cosmetics company. Lauder was the only woman on TIME magazine's 1998 list of the 20 most influential business geniuses of the 20th century. She was the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She was inducted to the Junior Achievement U.S. Business Hall of Fame in 1988. The company began in 1946 when Joseph Lauder and his wife Estée Lauder (Josephine Esther Mentzer) began producing cosmetics in New York City. They first carried only four products: Super-Rich All Purpose Creme, Creme Pack, Cleansing Oil, and Skin Lotion. Two years later they established their first department store account with Saks Fifth Avenue in New York. Over the next fifteen years they expanded the range and continued to sell their products in the United States. In 1960 the company started its first international account in the London department store Harrods. The following year it opened an office in Hong Kong. In 1964 they started Aramis Inc., which produced fragrances and grooming products for men. In 1967 Estée Lauder herself was named one of ten Outstanding Women in Business in the United States by business and financial editors. This was followed by a Spirit of Achievement Award from Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in 1968. In that year the company expanded again, opening Clinique Laboratories, Inc. Clinique was the first dermatologist guided (Dr. Norman Orentreich), allergy tested, fragrance free cosmetic brand created by Estée Lauder.

Double wear is in my opinion the best foundation for full coverage, longevity and with a massive range of shades it is easy to get a great colour match - I wear tawny in the winter. Although double wear provides excellent coverage and lasts all day, i wouldn't use it if your skin is dry as it comes out patchy. It's important to blend it well as soon as it goes on. I know a lot of people say it has buildable coverage but I find that it is best to put more on at the start as I've tried doing layers but again I found this method left my skin a patchy colour. Brilliant foundation that stays put and at an excellent price.

I’ve been using this foundation for over eight years and still reach for it every single day. The shade range is outstanding, especially if you have cool undertones. I use 1C1 Cool Bone, and it’s the only foundation I’ve found that doesn’t go pink, red, or peachy on my skin. It doesn’t oxidize much at all and settles into a beautifully fair shade with soft, cool undertones that genuinely looks like my own skin.It lasts all day, I apply it at 7 a.m., go to the office, walk around the city, and by 8 p.m., it still looks great. I don’t even set it with powder, and I rarely feel the need to touch up, even around the t-zone.The consistency is perfect, fluid enough to spread easily, but it sets well and gives you enough time to blend. I usually apply it with a brush first to spread it out, then use a damp beauty blender to press it in, works beautifully either way. I don’t even need under-eye concealer with this, the coverage is that good.I have very sensitive skin and this formula has never caused any irritation, breakouts, or dryness. It’s not greasy, not drying, just balanced and reliable. I’ve tried many foundations over the years, but nothing else compares to this one.

This foundation is worth it's price tag. Great coverage, and it lasts all day. This is the best foundation for lasting power that I have come across.If you're not sure on your shade, it's worth going into a shop to get a colour match, but Bolo is usually the cheapest place to purchase it.A little goes a long way with this foundation as it does last a long time. I would recommend not using too much as it would give a 'caked on' effect unless you use it sparingly.

AWFUL 😖 picture showed a big glass bottle which is misleading as a small 15ml plastic, tester like, bottle arrived. Completely over priced and now it can't be returned. Shocking!
