I've found these original Keen Newport sandals much more comfortable than the H2 versions, which I returned because the artificial-material webbing rubbed my feet. Footbed of the originals is more comfortable too, plus I prefer how they look. Wide toe box keeps toes cool and comfortable and lets them spread out, providing stability. Soles are excellent for grip.One tip: whatever size you are in Clarks, go a size larger in Keen.

Quality: Very sturdy, high quality, well made sandals. Comfortable to wear right from the start and for long periods at a time, these Keen Newport H2 sandals provide additional protection via the closed toe front whilst still being sufficiently 'airy' in design to let your feet breath in hot conditions. The materials used appear to be of high quality and waterproof so that you can walk through streams, puddles or into the shallows of the sea when at the beach, without water damaging these sandals. The sole is particularly sturdy, offering excellent support and protection in all the right places including heels, foot arches and toes for when walking long distances or across uneven terrain. I also found the under sole grips to be good in wet, slippery and uneven underfoot conditions.Style: Robust, built for purpose. Available in several colour options to suit a range of tastes. However, if you are looking for more flimsy, lightweight and delicate boutique style sandals to wear as a fashion statement, then these might not be for you.Comfort: Comfortably (pun intended) the best sandals I have ever owned.Sizing: I am invariably a size 9 (EU 43) for all types of footwear and so that is the size I bought in this instance, despite some of the observations posted on other reviews to buy them one shoe size bigger than normal, and they fitted me perfectly.Price / Value for money: I bought these sandals in June 2014 from Bolo for £53. If the current price online is anywhere up around their normal RRP of £80 and you aren't in any particular hurry to buy them, then simply pop these items into your 'Save for Later' list on Bolo and wait for the price to drop, which it will. However, if you can't wait for that bargain to appear, then even at full RRP these sandals are decent value for the high quality and comfort they offer.Overall: These Keen NEWPORT H2 sandals are a genuine five start product that have prompted me to write this review, the first of any kind I have ever felt inclined to write in relation to a product I have purchased online. Whether for holidaying abroad in hot, sunny conditions, or for walking the beaches and coastal paths of the UK, or even for use on more testing terrain, I would highly recommend these sandals as an excellent choice for almost anyone.

I already had a pair of these sandals. Such is my admiration of the comfort and water-happy nature of these sandals I wanted a reserve pair for when my current pair wear out, just in case they go out of production.These sandals are not cheap so you want to avoid buying them in your local shop. My first pair were on sale online with a really good saving. My source no longer exists. Hunting around, I found Bolo to be the best current value so I ordered. Upon delivery I tried them on before I put them in storage. Maybe my imagination was running wild but the new pair felt even more comfortable that my existing pair, and that’s unusual for shoes right out of the box. The label says that these sandals from American brand Keen are made in Thailand. I can tell you that the people of Thailand are experts in the production of high quality comfortable sandals suitable for exploring the great outdoors or a boat deck.

They’re not exactly lightweight but that’s because they’ve good tough soles, comfortable out the box. My only gripe is the insole are supposed to be odour free/protection, but after wearing all day they STINK and need a proper wash! Good value, appearance and being by Keen they have a wide toe box with toe protection. Highly recommended. Only negative is they smell!!

My foot size for shoes is 10½. I originally purchased these at 11½, but way too large. Returned for 10½ and they are perfect. Felt a little tight in the toe area, but that only lasted a day. I can walk for miles in these shoes and plenty of air gets to the feet.The toe covering is perfect and really prevents any nasty toe stubs. The Vibrafoam soles are rock solid and will cope with most stoney and rocky terrain.Having been wearing these as my main footwear for the past three weeks, I can vouch for their comfort, durability and style. They are true to size, so just go with your normal shoes size. The quick pull laces are great for customising just how tight you want you sandals.Keen are now my "GoTo" brand for quality footwear. Highly recommended.PS: I had been walking for a month in the Highlands with a pair of Merrill boots, but the lack of ankle movement caused severe knee pain. Two weeks wearing the Keen sandals had help the knee problem correct itself.

Needed new sandals and after a lot of research these scored really well so ordered a pair on offer and they are fantastic. Really well made, very comfortable straight out of the box, been wearing them a lot with no problems. Good foot support, can’t comment on longevity but reviews say they last well, we will see
