The bumper is PIANO BLACK HIGH GLOSS PLASTIC which is now fitted on most new cars inside & outside.The bumper also had a deep scratch, but this was not too visible and I wasnt too concerned about that, but the scuff/rub was very wide and easily seen at all angles.I cleaned & dried the bumper and used a very small amount by putting dots to a foam polisher pad on a drilling machine.It cleared the scuff after one minute going back & forward, then cleaned with microfible cloth.I didnt try doing it by using a cloth by hand, but think this might work if scuffs are light, obviously this could be tried first before buying drill polishing pads & attachments.Basically, I am very happy with the final result, yes as I expected, the deep scratch was still there as this would need a specialist repair, but the scuff repair is excellent.As only a small amount was used, I expect to use this for long time to come for general cleaning, polishing & small scuffs/swirls removal. Given I use Meguiars product it comes as no surprise that this is a good product. Easy to apply it has reduced the fine scratches.

My original review (after 2 days):=================================We recently found a 5mm-wide shallow scratch along the entire length of our 2 year old metallic black Vauxhall Zafira. It was not particularly deep, so I assumed that it was not a deliberate 'keying' scratch, but I can only guess it was from rubbing next to a bush/twig/branch at some point. Anyway, searching the internet there seem to be lots of different products, all of which seem to have variable reviews and seem to be good at some types of scratches but not all.Well I cannot promise you that it will work on *your* scratch/car/paint but I can say that on *my* metallic black Vauxhall paint it worked *brilliantly*. The scratch was easy to see in any light, at any angle. Now you have to really catch the angle correctly and look very hard to see the original scratch. Sure, it does not make the paintwork perfect (showroom condition) but you certainly have to look hard to find the scratches afterwards.I also tried it on a number of much smaller/thinner (but *deeper*?) "cracks" (not scratches) but I have to say that I could not really see any improvement afterwards. To be fair, these cracks were almost invisible beforehand (I just tried the product as an experiment).So in summary, it won't help with *all* scratches, but for the wide/shallow one that I had it worked an absolute treat, and I'm delighted!Hopefully others have a good experience too if they choose to give it a go.10 days later:==============Hmmm, well I have to update my review because I need to warn people about the long-term effect that I noticed yesterday. In certain lights, and certain angles, the area which was buffed now has a very slight 'smeared' finish to the paintwork. It's not terrible, but it certainly can be seen in certain lights/angles. Having said this, my bad scratch still looks MUCH better, but I need to warn you that it does not leave the paintwork perfect.My advice is:* Only use this product on medium scratches** Don't use on light scratches which you can hardly see, because the after-effect of the smear is probably worse than the light scratch** Don't use on deep scratches/cracks, because the product won't work and the after-effect of the smear will be noticeable from some angles* Try to use the product sparingly** Only treat the scratch itself - try to apply thinly, and buff it in in a thin strip (don't make the strip too wide, or you'll possibly end up drawing more attention to the repair than the original scratch!Good luck, whatever you choose to do...

The product is easy to use and only takes a couple of minutes to apply and buff off, it also goes a long way.I use this product to remove very light surface scratches on metallic paint. The results are excellent on very light surface scratches, however the product failed to have any impact on anything deeper than the lightest of surface marks. None the less the product has its place in treating the lightest of surface scratches that a cars paintwork will inevitably pick up during its lifetime.

I was stupid enough to try and remove some bird droppings from the bonnet of my car with a kitchen dish pad whilst I was getting dead flies off the windscreen. I didn't think any more of it until I washed the car. Immediately you could see the hundreds of tiny scratches in the clear coat, that made the whole area dull. (the car is only 3 years old and in excellent condition which made the scratches stand out even more)Tried normal wax and some elbow grease but to no avail, so after a little bit of internet research I opted to buy this kit.I'm not an expert on car care, so watched a couple of YouTube videos, and then set to work. Initially I wasn't too optimistic, and the first couple of applications didn't seem to improve the area much, but I had read some reviews that said to persevere with badly scratched areas so I did. Gradually the area got better and better, to the point where even I struggle to find the area that was damaged. The entire area is back to almost mirror smooth (only one or two very fine lines that you'd have to look very closely to find). The polishing pad drill attachment makes applying the scratch removal compound super simple, and saves time and a lot of effort.So in summary. This kit REALLY WORKS!

This stuff doesnt work.It says s for fine scratches.How fine are we talking about here.Our cars are covered in fine scratches.We are not going to go over the car trying to remove them you only see them in certain light.So the next step above a fine scratch forget about it it doesnt work.Its nothing more than an exspensive tube of wax

My car was scrapped in a car park. Took a chance and bought this product. Only needed a tiny bit and a lot of buffing it in. The result was really pretty impressive! Photos attached. The marks are mostly removed which is great. I wish it had been a smaller bottle as I only needed a little bit but overall I'm pleased.

Pero como decia las manchas en el barniz que deja un excremento de pájaro que no quitaba con pulimento normal a mano, las hace desaparecer. Si lo quieres para eso, cómpralo sin dudarlo

Piacevolmente sorpreso dall'effetto ottenuto, i piccoli graffi (vernice trasparente) scompaiono completamente.Si ottengono risultati peggiori lucidando dopo aver applicato una vernice correttiva.

I used this on scratches on silver duco, really didn’t notice mush of a difference however living near the ocean all my chrome furniture has a rusted appearance. I’m going to sit in a good light and see if it works on the chrome legs of coffee and dining tables.

Excelente producto, mi carro (color acero) tenía unos rayones que los quitó con mucha facilidad. Si bien no funciona para rayones muy profundos esos pequeños que hay por portazos o la tierra los quita sin problema 100% recomendando.Aparte del producto, tuve un pequeño problema con la entrega ya que no llego dentro del paquete pero Bolo respondió en un par de horas y al día siguiente me lo mandaron sin cargo, excelente soporte por parte de Bolo
