They are fun for kids but I keep them for myself as my kids are all adults lol. The size, ease of use and colour range and durability combined with the amazing value for money make these chalks a no brainer for any artist. I use these with Artgecko black paper. I find the white very easy to blend with amazing effects to be made when combined with the Artgecko A3 black paper which I then hole punch and organise in eco A3 4 ring binder all purchased and reviewed on Bolo. Crayola have been around for decades since 1903 and are reliable great quality chalk makers.

Having read others reviews, I was reluctant to try these but having purchased Crayola numerous times over the years with my children, I knew it was a good brand and the price of just 99 pence, I decided to give it a go and I am so glad I did!We have just got back into playing darts and have been using the chalk that came with the dart board set to mark our scores on the blackboard.I purchased this not only because the chalk supplied wouldn't last very long, it was also very dusty and I found myself coughing when using it, it was also very thick to write on the board with.This Crayola chalk was like a revelation - I could tell it was a more solid stick - as soon as you hold it you could feel the difference in the quality; superior to the one being used previously but as soon as I started to write on the board it was amazing! I was like writing with a pencil - the numbers were crisp and precise and not at all thick smudgy numbers that the other chalk was achieving! Also...no dust and no coughing...definitely recommended - especially for blackboard writing.The chalk I received was fully intact with not a single breakage and I would rate it higher if possible - brilliant price and fabulous to use! It may be a little hard for young children to enjoy (depends on age) but for writing on blackboards it is absolutely brilliant and I can actually write neatly with it which is a bonus!

Don't expect full length sticks...the longest bit left in the pack was 11/8th inch length, still was chalk however and did the marking out I needed. Doesn't travel well!
