Had some flatwounds on my precision bass and was a bit reluctant of putting these on my bass but since I have another bass strung with flatwounds, I wanted to have a different tonal palate and feel to my PB and boy was I surprised.These strings are great. Yes they are roundwounds but they feel great, have a very good intonation, warmth and tone is versatile without being too bright or too dark. Just right.I will definitely be buying more of these in the future. Also, I'm a big fan of Adam Clayton and when I read he uses these, also made me want to try them and glad I did.

I chose these strings because I have always looked for a vintage sound and these sound great to me. With any round core strings you have to be vigilant when putting them on (follow the instructions written on the inside of the box!!!), but these are how strings used to be made and with foam under my strings near the bridge, it's a winning combination!

I’ve been using many other brands of bass strings until recently. I was switched on to these by our bands bass playing sound engineer. They are now my new faves. Warm and rich but with a lovely bright edge which cuts through the mix nicely.

SunbeamsLa mejor opción para quienes buscamos un set con baja tensión o tenemos lesiones en las manos, se agradece la suavidad; al principio sentí mucha tensión (como de un set de acero con núcleo hexagonal) pero bastó con aflojar las llaves de afinación y volver a tensar, con el uso van mejorando en todo sentido (no me gustan las cuerdas muy brillantes y por eso uso de Nickel). Había leído reseñas que hablaban mal de la 5a cuerda, yo creo que se debe más a la calidad de los instrumentos, las cuerdas responden bastante bien, son muy estables, tal vez pueden no desarrollar medios más amplios pero encajan perfecto en cualquier situación y género, finger, palm mute, slap, Pop, Rock, Latin.Desearía probar una versión Light de Sunbeams 40-120

Without doubt the smoothest roundwounds I've ever used in 59 years of playing. I've never had much to do with DR Strings (on Bass or guitar), but if these strings are anything to go by, then I'm a convert. Quite fancy those Red Devils for a bit of fun :)
Comfortable
Sunbeams are relatively soft compared to DR PURE BLUES.
