Picked this up for the immune boost. Ester-C is meant to be gentler on the stomach and longer-lasting. No weird aftertaste, and I haven’t caught a cold yet – though I’m not giving it all the credit.

Please see my photosWe have been using these for a number of years now, that is myself and my wife.In the past we had used an ascorbic acid type, synthetic form of Vitamin C, but we had certain digestive and other issues associate with its use.We then noted these ester form of Vitamin C. Complete with natural bioflavonoids.As a bonus they are vegan friendly, non GMO and are gluten free.The last ones of these we bought has been in October 2024, the time of this review, and they have an expiry of Jan 2027. Again, see photo please.The darkened bottle, not sure if these could be light sensitive but always good to keep in a darkened bottle and place of storage, has a simple to open screw lid. Important if you struggle to open certain lids, this one is easy.The capsules themselves, noted size in a photo, are , for me, ok to take. My wife though can struggle with certain tablets or capsules. Sadly these seem to stick a little for her. Now she prefers to take them with a small mouthful of water at the same time as placing one in her mouth, that seems to help.My wife would have some digestive issues with previous Vitamin C's, with these she tolerates them well.Being non-acidic they cause me absolutely no issues with reflux. In the past I have had some very real issues with LPR and would avoid so many acidic type foods, drinks and supplements. I am absolutely fine with these.If you take a look at one of the photos it notes that you can take 1 to 3 daily, preferably with food. I get the point of taking with food, even though Vitamin C is water soluble, but personally I would not take that amount of Vitamin C daily in normal use for a prolonged period. We have found that if taking more than one a day it can lead, for us, to compromising our digestion, in various ways.BUT, see photo, their own advert states to take 1 capsule twice a day.AND one capsule, by their reckoning, contains 556% of your DV, daily value.Just please be cautious of the amount you take.We prefer to take one capsule every few days, that is based on having a reasonably balanced diet and a personal understanding of what would be appropriate during periods of good health with no colds etc...... If we have a bad cold or feel otherwise compromised we may well increase that dose for that period.That is tolerated fine. It also offsets the rather expensive cost of these.Please see my final photo, these capsules are made from...Capsule Shell: hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose....the 500mg of these do not seem to be made using bovine as a source of gelatin.We both recommend these, just find your own daily dosage with a certain caution in mind.I hope this review has been helpful.

Si has llegado hasta aquí y dudas entre comprar Vitamina C o Ester-C, te aconsejo que tomes esta última. La Vitamina Ester-C de Solgar es la combinación de ácido ascórbico con calcio. Y sí, puedes ir a Google y encontrarás muchísimos artículos de las bondades de este producto. Así que voy a ahorrarme el tocho tan formal para deciros que sí funciona y cómo.Desde hace años empecé a tomar suplementos de Vitamina C con un máximo de 60mg/día para la piel. Cuando alguien me ha pedido recomendación para mejorar su aspecto, prevenir arrugas, directamente les he aconsejado tomarla. Ya no sólo vía oral, también con la alimentación y serums. Lo que no te voy a prometer es que te va a dar resultado en una semana, pero en unos meses, tu piel estará más lisa, con menos signos de expresión y algo más importante: la textura. Vivimos obsesionados con tener una piel sin arrugas, cuando para ello hay procedimientos clínico-estéticos. Yo me refiero a esa textura fresca, que no te lo va a dar ni un lifting.Ah, pero eso no es todo. Solo acabo de empezar. Y es que nos ayuda a formar colágeno, sin él y la bendita elastina, nuestros tejidos se caen y oxidan. Con los años nuestras células producen menos colágeno, y ya no sea sólo por vanidad, es que se van a resentir tus huesos, músculos, cartílagos, pelo... Y tú no quieres que ocurra. Pasé de tomar como os dije 60mg/día a 500mg de Ester-C. En los últimos meses me sentía más cansada por el trabajo, situaciones de estrés. Probé primero la forma de Vitamina C de Solgar y me gustó, aunque la Ester-C está por encima porque nuestras células la absorben mejor y durante más tiempo. A nivel digestivo, a mí no me ha producido ninguna molestia, y las cápsulas son fáciles de tragar. Yo me tomo una cápsula al día con el desayuno. La dosis de 500mg es suficiente, pero se puede tomar hasta 1000mg/día según tus necesidades. Si has pasado una etapa con muchos medicamentos, antibióticos, infecciones, te lo recomiendo. Varios familiares míos también la toman cada día y a uno de ellos le ha ayudado a frenar las infecciones (también junto con el arándano) y ayuda muchísimo en casos de artrosis, dolores musculares -si le sumas magnesio y ácido hialurónico es una bomba de las buenas-. Recuerda lo que te dije al principio: nos hace falta el colágeno. Llevo ahora 4 meses tomándola. Lo que más noté en las primeras semanas fue la energía, es como un pequeño subidón al día. Ahora estoy más activa, ¿mi piel? Reconozco que no tengo arrugas ni ningún problema en mi piel. Lo que no te he dicho es mi edad y los cuidados para que esté así. Por eso me preguntan mucho qué hago, qué es lo que tomo. Mucho producto natural, es lo único que funciona de verdad. No gastes dinero en nada caro, alta cosmética y no esperes a tener muchos años para cuidarte. Y a veces también ocurren pequeños "milagros". Si padeces migraña como yo, deberías empezar a tomar esta Vitamina C. Las sufro desde pequeña y he probado de todo. Hasta me contengo de comer cosas como chocolate, lácteos, carne, para evitarlas. Pero la migraña me puede aparecer por el cambio de tiempo, la lluvia, falta de sueño, estrés, menstruación etc... Mi único tratamiento es con triptanes y funcionan cuando la tengo, pero desde hace 4 meses, no he tenido más que 4/5 dolores de cabeza muy, muy leves. Así que lo único que había cambiado es tomar esta dosis de Ester-C. ¡Estoy más que feliz! Ojalá dure todo el año así o que sean menos frecuentes. Antes tenía entre 5-7 migrañas al mes y en verano son un horror. Espero actualizar esta opinión, a ver si sigo así. También a lo largo de este tiempo me ha crecido mucho el cabello. Bastante más de lo normal en mí. Ahora está más denso y fuerte. Para resumiros, la Vitamina C es como llevar un protector en tu cuerpo y te vas a ver, sentir mejor. No ayuda solo a evitar resfriados, a que tu sistema inmunológico se dispare. Es una "pantalla" frente al sol, el tiempo, el oxígeno del aire. Uno de los mejores antioxidantes del mundo (por delante está la Astaxantina) y presente en muchísimos alimentos. Mi recomendación es que comas bien, pero como a veces no basta con ello, de elegir entre muchas vitaminas y marcas, yo me quedo con ésta. (El frasco no hace falta guardarlo en el frigorífico. Lo que hago yo es mantenerlo fuera de la luz y dejar el algodón dentro para conservar las cápsulas).

Ya son varias veces las que tomado está vitamina y seguiré tomandomela siempre que me haga falta. No me da ningún problema de estomago, ni la de 1g ni la de 500ml y noto desde la primera semana sus efectos, como menos síntoma de cansancio y fatiga, y más a largo plazo no resfriarme o coger catarros
Es una vitamina C que no tiene ácido.
Es muy buen producto, hace años que lo empleo.

Ya son varias veces las que tomado está vitamina y seguiré tomandomela siempre que me haga falta. No me da ningún problema de estomago, ni la de 1g ni la de 500ml y noto desde la primera semana sus efectos, como menos síntoma de cansancio y fatiga, y más a largo plazo no resfriarme o coger catarros
Es una vitamina C que no tiene ácido.
Es muy buen producto, hace años que lo empleo.
