Works perfectly, kept bottle of champagne going over 3 days. Just remember that you need to hold on tight when you release it from the bottle as it still has all the pressure behind it and can easily fly up in your face!

My GF likes a glass of the sparkling stuff but doesn't want to finish the bottle, just press down, move the arms and it's as tight as a drum, simple little gadget, but saves fizzy stuff going flat.

Great product but only used it once as the champagne didn’t last long enough for the stopper to be in the bottle…it kept the bubbles in the bottle and that’s what matters when having champagne

The media could not be loaded. First world middle class problems alert! Do you drink that entire bottle of Prosecco or stick a fork in it?When looking at this, I looked up how to keep the fizz and the internet (so must be right!) categorically has tested the fork in the fizz to death. It has no benefit compared to leaving the bottle open in the fridge.So I needed a "proper" solution that didn't involve guzzling the lot. This was cheap and has turned out to be a good buy. I've tried it on standard wine bottles and fizzy ones of a few different neck sizes. All seem to work to varying degrees of success but you really need a good definitive lip on the bottle top.Once installed I've gone back a good few days later (I really must drink more!) to find the bottle perfectly fizzy still.A good purchase once you get the knack of using it. Now, where are those olives?

I have a really old stopper of a similar design. It's much better quality than these ones which are made of very thin metal and feel like they will not last well. I can't find a really good, solid one anywhere...

They can be applied to a bottle in less than a second, likewise removed quickly.Except for a spring they are solid state and will last forever in theory.Automatic spring-adjusting to any bottle neck with a rim on it (like all bottles designed to hold a wired cork have).Very happy, perfect in fact.Highly recommended.

This is a really nicely made item; heavy duty with a quality chrome finish.It's easy to pop on and very secure - something I was a little concerned about when I placed my order. I shouldn't have worried! It's also easy to get off to get at your fizzy stuff - you just press and lift one of the sides.We've kept an open bottle for 5 days using this stopper and it's kept its fizz just as if the bottle had been opened an hour ago. Brilliant.I've also started to use it between drinks because if there's just a couple of you and you leave it a while between glasses, bubbly starts to fade, so pop this on between quaffs and each glass is like the first.This is an ideal gift for bubbly drinkers, as well as to get for yourself. 5 stars.
Sturdy Champagne stopper
It seems like a sturdy, well made product. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the finish is slightly more matte than I would've liked. I'd prefer a shinier stainless steel finish.
