I've cobbled along for years with rusty ol' pliers, which even when new, had nowhere near the precision and fine engineering of these Knipexs.I decided to treat myself, and boy was I glad I did. These are beautiful, open and close with the precision of a Swiss watch, and are a joy to use. Every single time I use them, I love them and appreciate them.Considering I use small pliers all the time, that means I upgraded my life substantially.Honestly, you get what you pay for. As they say, if you buy cheap, you buy twice (or more).Some have complained that these rust - and they may do - but I'm certain if you wipe your tools after use and keep them in a cool dry place (as you should) you shouldn't have a problem.Also some complained the jaws don't close completely 100% flat. That is also true, and supposedly this is by design. The tips meet together and as one reviewer pointed out there is maybe 0.5mm gap along the length of the jaw, supposedly to help make sure you don't mash something to death.In any case, there's not much else to say. If you want a fab tool, this is your guy.

Being a true believer of “you get what you pay for”, I was set on choosing Knipex yet again when it came to getting some electronic pliers, as I have been extremely impressed with the rest of their offerings I’ve bought to date. I have to say the quality of these has not disappointed and is right up there with the rest of their range.The pliers are the new style with the box joint hinge rather than the typical pin hinge, meaning zero sideways movement and slimmer profile. The jaws are virtually flat with some micro serration, as not to slip, yet not to mark any components or electrical ribbons. The tips come to a point right at the tip, so that you can grab 1mm components with ease right at the tip. And as you can see from the photo they then have about a 0.5mm gap between the jaws the rest of the way. This is to ensure any electrical ribbons are gripped with equal pressure throughout. This is a design feature and not a defect.The mirror polish on these is beautiful and the spring action is very subtle yet smooth allowing fine control and dexterity.Once again, the Knipex quality and precision has not disappointed and proves they are worth the extra money.

I've had a set of cheapo electronics tools for a while now and when return spring of the cutters broke I decided to treat myself to some high quality replacements.These are very nice to use, small enough to handle the fiddly work I do but still comfy in the hand, high quality materials with a lovely fit & finish.Not the cheapest you'll find but I expect these to outlast me so good value over the life of the tool, if you're in the market for some decent pliers for fine work then you won't go wrong with these.

As with all Knipex pliers and cutters the build quality is excellent. The only negatives I can think of are that I do find the handles a little small in my hands and that when not on offer they are a little pricy.
