I recently had to remove a toilet to put some new flooring in, when I came to refitting the pan there was a gap between it and the waste pipe which as well as leaving me with a small river of toilet water was also emitting a smell like a squirrel had parked itself in the toilet to die.I knew I needed some Plumbers Mait to sort but alas the local DIY Chain did not have it in stick and I didn't fancy a 12 mile trip to the next store so picked some of this up on Bolo.The Good -It's super easy to stick into any gaps, splodge a couple of finger fulls onto the offending part and rub it all over.It doesn't leave a massive amount of residue on your hands and what is left is easy to clean off.Once in place it's just a super little fix. It feels like a cheat it's so good. I popped some onto the pan and pipe, joined them up and that was that. Job done. River halted, smell dissapated.Happy toilet times.The could be better -The lid for the tub could have a slightly better seal, when I came to use it again for another job the tub had gone off a little making it less easy to apply.It could well have been me not really putting the lid back on too so it's not a major issue and it's still effective.Overall this is a Plumbing essential and for its many different applications it's really worth having a tub on hand rather than waiting for a leak or issue. Buy a pot, it really is your mate!Recommended.Four Stars.

I ordered this putty because I had a leak from my kitchen sink. It’s very easy to apply and it’s still going strong a week later. It’s a fantastic product and I highly recommend it! I would advise to wear disposable gloves as it’s hard to wash off of your fingers and it’s not a good idea to wash it down a sink as it will clog it up. I also used it around the bottom of the toilet to stop a water leak.

Was about to buy a new toilet pan and contact a plumber to install it as it had developed a small rivulet of water with each flush. The seal had broken between the pan and the waste pipe!Then as a tightwad northerner I remembered Plumbers Mait! Yes! 💪🏽Just a few big splodges applied with a trusty finger and pressed into the offending gap then smoothed off has absolutely done the trick!Just to add that this miracle putty doesn't set. It stays putty-like and is somewhat flexible and you can paint over it if you wish 👍🏼Probably around 100+ flushes later and it's spot on - no sign of any leak whatsoever.God knows what a new toilet fitted costs nowadays but all back to normal now for a few quid! 😊
