You could get other toy food for a cheaper price, but this is really good quality and very durable.Lots of fun to play with (as the kids played 'shop' all the time)Lots of choice and the trays they come in are also very handy for tidy up time (which is always done by me as the kids just abandon it all on the floor and leave it for me to tidy up....just like their dad does!)Jokes aside, a great purchase and good quality, and we sold these once the kids grew out of them, so we got some money back afterwards.Excellent purchase, and product!

Another great product from Melissa & Doug, the Food groups crates were a great addition to our shop (from GLTC). The crates are quite small, (approx 6.5"x 4.5") but perfect for little hands, the food is brightly painted and set out in food group crates (not that they will stay like that).I personally prefer the wooden, painted play food as opposed to the plastic food you can get, it is a little bit more expensive, but I think worth it, for the quality and general feel of it, i really feel that because it's so well made it's worth the investment.We have a huge selection to choose from, and we've gone from the basic shop playing game to making real purchases and charging real prices, so it's a great toy to grow with kids from early years, till they're ready to start learning about money and then you can incorporate that aspect as well.Highly recommended, very hard wearing and fun.

Wow!Bought this for my daughters 3rd birthday, to go with her wooden kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised upon receiving this, there is loads! I didn't expect the crates or the food to be that big considering the price! I don't really know what I was expecting but whatever it was, this exceeds all my expectations! There are 4 wooden crates which are not just for decoration, they feel strong and hold about 5-6 items of food. There is a good variety of food and I think 17 peices all together. I love the bread buns!! The fruit is pretty basic, the Orange is just an orange ball! But even so, you can clearly tell what it's supposed to be! Some of the other food has got lovely detailing though. You just can't go wrong with wooden food, compared to the plastic stuff you get this is amazing. It will last until the child no longer wants to play with it anymore and even after that you could probably sell it on! For the price of this, the quality of it and how much you get I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone!!

I bought my Grandson a wooden shopping trolley for his 2nd birthday as he loves going the food shop, I then needed to find wooden food items to go in it, I came across this pack at Bolo which I thought looked good as it covered the 4 main food groups and I thought it would be useful to teach him what each food item was, each food group was in its own wee wooden box and packaged nicely. The quality was good and the price was reasonable, the item was dispatched quickly and arrived within a couple of days … great service!

Es un juguete que (a no ser que los niños los pinten) estarán en perfecto estado pasados los años, un juguete de siempre.Las distintas piezas presentan un buen lijado y acabado, con colores vivos y apropiados (básicamente colores primarios) que ayudarán a los niños en su desarrollo.A destacar que la mayoría de las comiditas son sanas y saludables (a excepción de la hamburguesa que les hace bastante gracia), se puede encontrar carne, pescado, lácteos, frutas y vegetales, es decir la comida que cualquier padre quiere que coma su hijo. Que no tena patatas fritas y similares ayuda a que los niños entiendas que las frutas y verduras forman parte de nuestro día a día.La presencia de las cajitas es un plus y los niños se divierten metiendo y sacando las cosas de ellas.Sin lugar a dudas mucho más bonito y sostenible que las cocinitas de plástico; eso sí, cuidado con los pequeñines, es madera, es decir, si se dan con ello duele.
