For a 10W amp, this is perfect for home or gig use. The cab is very stylish and looks expensive and is quite heavy for it's size, as you would expect from a vox amp. This VOX Bulldog 6.5'' Speaker amp is very loud and only needs to be set on low if using at home. Includes, Bass, treble and Gain controls plus a punch in Clean/Overdrive button control are easy to use and sounds very retro on clean, or can used for hard rock. Some of the other brand 10W amps i have seen look quite cheap compared to this one.

I am really impressed the aesthetic look of the amp. It looks really beautiful. It is a good weight and compartment at the back to put the cable and other bits in too. Really handy and also allows the sound to flow around the amp.The dials are beautiful, turn well, look really good.The sound. No hum!Clean sound is absolutely amazing, really beautiful and can get quite loud without sounding too messy. As mentioned no hum when idle.Distortion.Honestly I have tried different settings and it does sound nice, I like being able to use the crunch to even a clean tone setting to just add a little bit more.I bought the amp to use in conjunction with guitar pedals and this is where it really comes alive. The clean tone in itself is beautiful and to then switch to a pedal and change effects is great. Adding slight distortion/crunch before then turning on the guitar pedals adds a lot of depth too.

There's nothing not to like about this amp... despite it's size (which isn't that small) it's got the true VOX sound through and through on both modes and all levels... Great chimey cleans with nice crunchy rock over drive too.The delivery was very fast and so early I was shocked. Came well packaged and delivered by UPS, which was a bonus as opposed to Royal Mail.A great amp for beginners, intermediates and pros. Sounds great when the volume is low for practice and sounds even better when the volume is cranked up. Awesome buy.The build is great and quite heavy when compared to the average overpriced modelling amps of similar wattage and some (trust me I've had a few! Lol) and still built to last many, many years and small gigs too if miked up for extra ear crunching punch!!A VOX and a few pedals is all you need and will still probably come to around half the price when compared to those toy practice modelling amps out there that are all the rage at the moment. Overall, awesome bargain.Every guitarist needs a VOX just for the sheer delightl of it!If in doubt get the VOX out!!Happy Rocking or Rolling and just crank up the volume and enjoy the VOX sound of whatever you're into!!

I bought this amp as a beginner guitar player, and I’m very happy with it. It’s small, light, and easy to carry around. It has a simple design and a classic Vox look. It sounds good for its size and price, and it has a decent range of tones. It has two channels (clean and overdrive), a gain knob, a volume knob, a treble knob, a bass knob, and a headphone jack. It also has a bright switch that adds some sparkle to the sound.The amp is loud enough for practicing at home, but not for gigging or jamming with a band. It’s not very versatile, and it can get a bit muddy or harsh at high volumes. However, that’s where the fun begins. This amp is very easy to mod, and there are many tutorials and videos online that show you how to do it. You can change the speaker, the cabinet, the knobs, the grill cloth, the circuit board, and more. You can make it sound better, louder, and more unique. You can also add effects, such as reverb, chorus, delay, etc.I’ve modded mine with a new speaker, a bigger cabinet, and a reverb tank. It sounds amazing, and it looks awesome. It’s like a mini Vox AC30 now. I’ve learned a lot about electronics and guitar amps in the process, and I’ve had a lot of fun doing it. It’s a great hobby and a great way to customize your sound.Overall, this is a great little amp for beginners and modders. It’s affordable, reliable, and easy to use. It sounds good for its size and price, and it has a decent range of tones. It’s also very easy to mod, and you can make it sound and look even better. It’s awesome for the money. Sounds good, even better when adding an eq pedal before going into the input to pull out a bit of mud and add some presence. Top panel I have treble set at 10 o’clock, bass at 2 o’clock. Gain up about half way and volume about 9 oclock. Gives it a really chimey clean tone. Then I add an overdrive pedal to replicate a bit of breakup. It takes pedals well. I would advise getting a reverb pedal as the amp doesn’t have it.This will be my jamming at home and teaching amp, because it sounds really good.I am highly impressed.

My son who plays 1-2 hrs everyday since he started to play guitar 2 years ago needed practice so upgrade. For less than $250, this is the best amp with best sound. Absolutely live the size, sound, aesthetics and versatility. Clean is great as well.For teenagers, this is by far the best. Beats fender frontman series and Marshall 10, 15 and 20 without a doubt.

Sounds fantastic for what it is, a sub $150 10w solid state amp. Great warm overdrive and gets way louder than I would have expected for such a l’il guy. The classic Vox design and red (faux?) leather make it a cute piece of decor too.

Bellissimo esteticamente e un suono incredibilmente “grande” nonostante le sue dimensioni ridotte. Anche con la chitarra semi acustica i bassi non mancano. Per esercitarmi in casa è diventato un gioiello immancabile.
