We live in a soft water area, so my main reason for buying these was to use the filtered water on ericaceous plants, as the chlorine in the tap water was turning the leaves yellow, and it was cheaper than buying a water barrel and fixing guttering and downpipes from a shed roof.A few weeks later and the plant leaves are now green with lots of new green leaves appearing, so that worked well.I did try it in the kettle for making tea, but found that I needed more sugar in my tea, maybe because we are in a soft water area anyway, but I have tried making tea and coffee in hard water areas and found the taste really awful so would probably use filtered water all the time for making drinks in a hard water area.

A little more expensive than the compatible replacements available but I feel that Brita is a brand that can be trusted to provide a quality product.

I've had a brita water jug for several years and always used the filters recommended for it. Unfortunately the jug was broken, and I purchased another jug,but was unable to find a brita classic, and settled for another brand. I was pleased to discover the filters fitted this new jug. These filters are good value for money, others can be quite expensive. The water always tastes fresh and nice to drink. I hope they always remain accessible to purchase.

They perform as advertised. My tap water in Nottingham UK tastes absolutely rank and chemical-like and I am not usually picky with tap water. These filters do the job and make the water taste far more like fresh 'water' than drinking swimming pool water. I now drink a lot more water as a result. I get about a month or so from the filter with daily use before the taste of chemicals begin to re-appear.It will not render a known unsafe water source 100% safe for drinking and this is not marketed as such, but it will remove SOME heavy metals and chemicals such as chlorine so will reduce water hardness, limescale and bad taste.

What can I say about this, fits my hot water dispenser and works perfectly every time, no trapped air, fast filter.However, Bolo, please note. When I order something and specifically specify a Saturday delivery, then that is the date I expect it to be delivered. Whilst I appreciate you think you are doing me a favour "shipping it separately a day early at no extra cost", there is a reason I choose the day. I got home to find that this had been sat on my doorstep all day long in it's basic box with the label attached directly to the box and no packaging. I was quite surprised that it was still there this evening when I got home!

wer den guten Geschmack bei Kaffee und Tee liegt, sollte gefiltertes Wasser verwenden. Die Classc- Filterkartuschen gibt es im Handel nur noch selten, komplette Wasserfilter, in die man Classicfilterkartuschen einsetzen kann, gar nicht mehr. Deshalb entschied ich mir für den Kauf per Internet. Würde ich wieder machen- schnelle Lieferung und die Patronen in gewohnter Qualität!
