This product came from the US so I had anticipated a longer delivery. I was not disappointed. There will be no wind whistling under my garage door this winter. Excellent service.

Purchased this seal to replace a similar seal bought about 14 years ago. The original was quite badly perished but given the duration had last very well. The seal is fitted to a double garage with two separate metal garage doors. Each door measuring just under 7 ft so the 16ft length supplied is ample. The seal is fitted it to the bottom of the doors using self tapping screws into pre drilled holes in the base of the doors. It is held in place by a hardwood strip 7/8" by 3/4"; the self tappers are screwed through the hardwood strip, then through the seal and then into the base of the door. The seal can cover quite a reasonable vertical gap and as well as accomodating for variability in gap height from one side of the door to the other. You just can't get decent builders these days! Overall if you have a similar set up this is a good solution. I've just bought another as a spare.

i sent this back as it was all curled up (tried straightening for 24 hrs in front of hot radiator...and the u shape section had become almost flat. so not really any use for putting on the bottom of my garage door.

The rubber strip is as expected, but has proven impossible to fit. The nails were not fit for the job and the sheet metal screws recommended as an alternative caused the door to catch in the floor so it wouldn’t close.

I finally don't see light peeking into the garage from the door bottom. It has also rained a few times since I got this and I haven't had rain seeping under the door into the garage. This is an inexpensive way to really weatherproof your garage door. It was also very easy to install. Just hold it flush to the bottom of the door and nail it in. They also provide a sufficient amount of nails so you don't have to skimp.

does it's job
We installed this strip on the bottom of a very old garage door to keep out the leaves, which used to blow in. It was easy to install and it certainly does a good job of sealing along the bottom of our old door.
