Recently went to see them live at the O2 Brixton, and had forgotten some of the earlier stuff they realeased... bough this to go with the oter albums, and it brings back the memories of the good old days. Love all the tracks....

After having this on CD, I bought the mp3s as my new pc does not have a CD, why?This really is a damn fine album, with some wonderful and sublime tracks from the still fresh today Prodigy.

The first album from the prodigy sums up the energy of the rave scene at the time. Many more 'modern' prodigy fans are unaware of the underground rave scene of the late 80's and early 90's from which Liam Howlett and co. originated and this album goes some way towards expressing this. Dan.P

Sometimes music from your youth isn't half as good as you remember. Thankfully experience is far, far better than I remembered. A must buy to remind yourself how good they were before Keith danced his way to being front man. If only they had actually killed the prodigy dancers...

Hard driving and creative rave music
I was surprised to find a couple of very good songs by The Prodigy on an Urbal Beats Compilation. I immediately bought this double CD and it's one of my favorite rave CDs I own. This isn't the more industrial punk sounding stuff that they became famous for. This is the first album and an excellent remix CD. The music is energetic, brilliant and the only CD I'm aware of that they did before changing their style. They became famous for their hard style of music. This music is just as hard but with almost no vocals. Just hard charging energy. If your looking for their stuff that's more in the vein of Ministry or the Revolting Cocks, then you should buy anything by them except this album. If you are looking for some very good, very energetic, hard techno, this album will be one of your favorites.All the power and energy of DJ Irene but with a totally different style.
