I have a lot of problems with my hands and have been through so so many can openers..maybe because I'm left handed but more likely they were just terrible can openers although some were expensive.When the oxo one arrived I wasn't holding out much hope as I had been so disappointed before.NO..I was amazed..You hear a good click when you close it onto the can which tells you it's connected and turning was soooo smooth..I could turn it so easily like a knife through butter..I believe I could spin it with one finger.To get such a great opener at such a low price amazes me as I have spent a lot over the years.It's very comfortable in the hands and is good and chunky with soft grips which are very easy on my hands..which for me really does help.I also like that it opens right up for Easy access and cleaning.Overall I love this oxo can opener..if it lasts me 6 months I'll be happy 😊..All my others failed within weeks.Definitely recommend you buy one, especially if you're disabled like me.Also the lid comes off neatly so it fits snugly at the bottom of the empty can!

I have always had a cheap set of can openers which recently got rusty and stopped working. They were very tough to use and hurt my hands. These OXO once’s were a little more pricey but the reviews were great so I thought why not give them a go. Definitely spending a little more makes life easier, as I now realise. These are very smooth and easy to use, they take no time to open the cans and also feel good on your hands as they are easy to grip and non slip. They feel really good quality and sturdy so should last a while.

Magnet strength is very good.The sharpness is good. Ease of cleaning and the functionality is excellent as is the design. I have arthritis and I found you do not need to grip hard at all in order to use. It is safe and easy to use.

Best can opener ever
This is the favourite can opener in our house and the only kind I ever buy now. Points to consider:1) I have lots of experience with can openers turning rusty after a few months of usage – not this one. It works well for years and is very reliable.2) Other can openers get yucky grime caught in the gears but not this one. I put it in the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of wear. Other can openers have been ruined in the dishwasher – but not this one.3) It is lightweight while still being strong, and the large knob is easy to turn even for kids. The handles are comfortable to hold. I can tell it is well designed and constructed with quality. It grips the cans tightly and cuts through the metal easily.4) It even has a bonus bottle opener.So many things in life can be hard – OXO Good Grips Can Opener, I am glad that you don't have to be one of them.

Great Can Opener!
This can opener is freaking ridiculously awesome! I never thought that I'd be amped up to write a review for a can opener, but after using it, I felt obligated to share with my Bolo brethren just how great this little gadget is. First of all, before buying this particular can opener, I scoured Bolo for several other can openers with good reviews in the hope that I would end up buying one that worked great. In fact, I had initially began my search for an electric can opener as my old one bit the dust. However, after about an hour of searching and comparing electric can openers, I came to the conclusion that they all had their flaws and that none were a guaranteed good purchase. Fortunately, at the end of my search, I wound up viewing the Oxo Steel Can Opener. After reading the description, viewing the picture, and subsequently reading the reviews, I came to the conclusion that a manual can opener is a better choice and that the Oxo CO was the best on the market.Thankfully, the customer reviews did not let me down. Once the can opener arrived I broke out a large can of soup and put it in action. Whoa! I was shocked. The can opener was so smooth that I wasn't sure if it was even opening the can, but sure enough, at the end of the slice the can was opened perfectly. The ability to slice through the can is due to an attached hard plastic knob protruding from the side of the can opener which acts as a wrench. The wrench-esque knob enables you to slice through the can by effortlessly twisting it.Potential buyers should know a few things about this can opener. 1.) It fits your hand perfectly and comfortably. 2.) There is no extra strength required as the can opener slices through the tin top like a warm knife cutting through butter. 3.) The ease of opening cans cannot be overstated as many disabled or elderly people have a weak grip. Making things easy for these people is the fact that the Oxo CO does not require you to put a death grip on the can with one hand and then strain to crank on the knob with the other hand like many other manual CO's do.In summation: If you are thinking about buying this item, do yourself a favor and get it.
