Ever since the first day I heard there is nothing like this on the radio ive been hooked on tothis album. i tried to secure it on itunes in Australia, unsuccesful. Luckily found it on this site. I cannot recommend this album highly enough for the paure sound of acid mellow jazz.

I only bought this album because I like There's Nothing LIke This, but I found the album surprisingly very good, definitely worth buying if you like mellow soul music.

Wirklich nothing!
1994 verfolgte mich der Song "There Is Nothing Like This" von Omar, sobald ich ein Radio einschaltete. Bis heute gehört der Song zu meinen Favoriten. Den Rest dieser CD kann man getrost vergessen, aber "There Is Nothing..." ist zum Heulen schön. Schade, dass Omar keine Maxi mit verschiedenen Versionen herausbrachte, das wäre der Kracher gewesen! Von Omar gab es auch das Album "Music", doch auch hier war nur der Titelsong ein echter Renner.

This is Omar in the beginning so some of the instrumentation and style sounds a little dated but if you can get past that, the music is worth a listen. The title track is really catchy, very simple, and soulful. If you live in the U.S. buy the album just because you dont get enough, if any, Omar in the states, which is a shame. If you are a collector, then its worth getting to see how much the music evolved.
