Actually this is the second time I've bought this book. I stupidly loaned it out and then never got it back. This time I bought it for my Kindle and tablet so one way or another I've got it.What it's not. Slap bang up to date Biblical sized technical tome.What it is. A great general purpose introduction and reference book to give you a reasonable knowledge of hydraulic systems. If you have already got this knowledge and regularly work on hydraulics then there is a good chance you know everything in this book. If like me as a marine engineer you deal with hydraulics but not every day, then you need something to refer to now and again. This for me serves that purpose at a modest price. There are far more comprehensive books out there which are eye wateringly expensive and not in electronic format making them no suitable for travelling with.This for me allows me to refresh my brain when I have to read a drawing and fault find and it's easy, simple and ideal for that purpose.

Currently I'm working on a medical ventilator but I'm a software engineer and have no training in either pneumatics or hydraulics. This book looked like a good bet for giving me a quick overview of practical pneumatics. For that purpose it is fine but I'm not qualified to say whether it is any good for pneumatics/hydraulics specialists.

Easy aint it ? Just what we elec / software chaps need. To explain to mechanical chaps where they have gone wrong !! ( haha )
Book in ace condition.

Good guide
A little small, but has good information
Great book. Very useful for technicians
I've had this since 2012 when I first graduated technical school and started working in industrial maintenance. It quickly got me up to speed and troubleshooting systems better than 95% of the technicians out there. Well written and good information.
Good book but some topics missing aa compared to original version
Proportional valve and some other topic is missing.
