Starting from the forces acting on the vehicle during acceleration or braking, driving resistances, driving limits, vibration excitation for single and double-track vehicles are presented. In addition to the types of vibration, vehicle models, current standards and legal regulations are taken into account. The theory is made applicable by a wealth of vehicle data in table or diagram form and by many calculation examples. The discussion of the results leads to suggestions for the improvement of motor vehicles.
