Revolution in a Heartbeat: Using Emotional Insights to Drive Better Business Performance

Description:

How engaged are your employees, really? Companies talk about "employee engagement" and they accept its importance, yet strangely, they adopt out-dated methods when analysing and measuring this engagement. A leading engagement expert offers a new framework for taking the genuine pulse of a company - so that leaders and management can truly understand how their people are feeling, and know what actions to take that result in better performance. Based on making results instantly and transparently available, and then determining with employees the real factors that lie within their feelings, managers can more easily assess the way they need to approach an issue. If, as the cliche goes, "people are a company's greatest asset", then ensuring their close engagement is essential for any company. This book argues powerfully for a radical new approach to employee engagement, based on understanding the minds and emotions of the people who work in organizations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Changed my world

I first thought this was about new medical procedures, but I was wrong. However, now totally gripped and can't put it down. I'd never really given much thought as to how my employee might (or might not) be engaged. Yes. I only have one - and hardly talk to her! However, things are about to change... I'm now going to fully engage with her. I'm going to be all over it and get into her head. I'm determined to find out what she really thinks so that I can optimise the hell out of her. You never know, her heart might just skip a beat when she sees me transform into manager supremo v2.0.Thanks Matt for your refreshing and awe inspiring methodology and insight. Forget Brexit, Trump or that funny chap in N.Korea, this is the new revolution I've been waiting for. When's the next book out?

We know that tapping in to our employees emotions is key to driving engagement and organisational success but it's still something that companies aren't great at doing. Matt combines insightful analysis of how that's being done today along with case studies that really bring that taking to life. In doing so he's created a must read for any internal communications and engagement professional.
