This little book has been a joy to read. Ben writes and talks so well, having attended his talk a few months ago and having had the pleasure of meeting him helps get a sense of his true voice coming through in his writing. I have found this book inspirational and have made lots of notes to come back to when I am further along my spiritual journey. I think it would make an excellent starting point for anyone considering Quakerism, as well as a lovely accompaniment to someone who is already living the Quaker way.Enjoy!

I am not sure quaker. I read this to learn more after visiting a quaker service today. This book gave a concise explanation. I perhaps spiritually have found that I am a quaker at heart. Inspiring, concise and understandable.

Having attempted to live the Quaker way for some 35 years I find this book quite complete in its studies of the subject. However, I do wish it had been produced in a slightly larger format, easier to physically read. I did try to buy the Kindle edition but failed. Don't know what happened there as my efforts seem to have been ignorred. However, for those with restricted sight the Kindle would probably be the best option as I believe the size of font can be adjusted.

Great Introduction to the Quaker Way
The author states this booklet is aimed at practicing Friends but I found it very helpful even as a novice. A good, short, easily read and understood work. Thank you!
being a Quaker
He reminds me why I am a Quaker and confirms many of my feelings of listening to the Light rather than the rules that sometimes are developed over time by the meeting. Sometimes there were very good reasons for the rules when they were created, but they have run their course and some may be released. It is the Light that we will follow as individuals and as a meeting. I love my meeting! There is no other place or way I would want to be.
Good glimpse
This book gives some insight into what The Quaker Way is all about. I found it very enlightening. Though not written for those outside the Way, it gave me a lot to think about. This is a look at how their thinking works. I was impressed.
Easy read
I gave it a three because it is basically about contemporary Quaker life in Great Britain. The American version seems more connected to their Christian roots. Some beautiful concepts that any Christian would benefit can be found in the books. In the end it would appear that each person, after deep thought and some prayer, is doing what they sincerely believe is right without any consideration to what scripture teaches about the matter. As a contemplative pastor who has practised silence, solitude, minding the light within, centering prayer,and meditation I understand the attraction and beauty of some of the Quaker ways. Experience, by itself is not enough. The guidance we find in scripture is just as important.
Learning
I went to meetings with my grandmother. It was hard for me to sit still. Now as an adult I like silence. This book is a great way to get reacquainted with meetings and being quaker.
