Perhaps, like me, you've been supported by Aliyah Umm Raiyaan or LaYinka Sanni to be accepting yourself, truly, and showing up. Then I'm so happy for you and for those in your circles.No?Perhaps, you're reading this like, uh-huh, I'm a believer who wants to accept myself and to act from my potential, to really activate my true self and give goodness to the world including me, because I trust God gave me amazing potential, yet I'm not doing it and I'd appreciate help. This book is much needed , especially during times of lockdown when we have time on our hands to reflect. The advice given is written from a loving sister who guides us to question ourselves and take a deep look at home truths all wrapped up in a warm hug. I couldn’t put this down.At multiple points of this book, your words and advice hit my heart, feeling as though I had picked up the phone, called you and you knew what to say. For any woman that is in need of advice and direction at this point in time, who is overwhelmed at the plethora of faith-based advice, know that this is the book to start with! I look forward to downloading the workbook and potentially sharing this in a book club. This is a message that needs to be shared - love for your sister what you wish for yourself and that is this book !May Allah bless you Sr Naima for your honesty, rawness and insight. If there is any extra purpose of your tests and struggles in this life, it is that Allah wants us to learn from you, your expressed experience and internalisation of some of life’s toughest tests and how you have conveyed the reality along with direction and hope in a time of darkness, that one can come out with a renewed sense of purpose and strength.

Show up is a must-have book for anyone with even an ounce of ambition! As women we play a multitude of roles in our daily lives, and this book guides us to tackle those roles mindfully and to the best of our abilities! It also encourages us to push for achieving our goals and making our dreams a reality but without any wishy washy advice - there is a clear set of instructions to follow and extremely helpful reflective exercises that promt us to admit and accept what we must do to embrace our unique personalities and apply the skills and talents we have been blessed with. I can not recommend this book enough; its a quick read, interspersed with motivating References from the Quran and Hadith and a companion I will be referring to every other day to remind myself to keep chugging ahead inshaAllah!

This couldn't have come at a better time, when people are either losing hope, or standing up to their fears. This book will have you go from crying to saying, "girl! Yasss!"This book is for those who want to live a meaningful life full of purpose, it not only guides you to delve into your inner self but also make changes to daily habits that we often take for granted or see as insignificant.I have implemented some of the advice in this book and can already see the difference in my own mood and those around me. Whenever I feel like I'm falling back into old ways I'll be referring back to this heartfelt message by Na'ima B Robert.I love how she strips off the protective layers and exposes her inner self in order to help others. This book is everything I didn't know I needed. I felt so seen and heard with my own struggles as I read the struggles of Na'ima. I was literally saying, "YES, YES, YES" as I read along. Na'ima managed to get across the message of hope and faith without being dismissive of pain and struggles, and she managed to be encouraging of people taking full responsibility for their lives without being judgemental. A truly wonderful book. In fact, I loved it so much I read it in one day and then ordered 3 more copies to giveaway.

A must book to read for every woman
This is a book that every woman (Muslim or not) must read. It definitely clears every doubt one has for not taking action towards their dream, towards reclaiming themselves and boosting their self-worth and value without any guilt to anyone but just be themselves as a hero that they are in their unique way.
The message is powerful.
