Disappointed not to be able to buy the updated version as some of the data in the version purchased is now 5+ years old. Otherwise very useful during a 3+ week trip to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.I recommend waiting of the updated version to be available (which was published in 2023?)

The content was good, very detail.But there are 2 concerns:1. The google map mark is just nearby, not exactly location, is there any reason behind that?2. Couldnt see any footnote for the whose book? Any reason why?Thanks

I was planning a holiday/ trip to Central Asia and this book helped me to choose the places not to miss . It had valuable information about literally everything I needed for my trip . A great help and source of information.

This is probably the best guide to the countries of Central Asia as there aren't many available. Found it very useful on a recent trip to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

I have used Lonely Planet Guide books for decades. I like the format and how it covers countries. Great guide for the budget traveler.
