I have been buying and carrying this timetable for 25 years both as a tour manager and as an independent Interrail traveller. It was indispensable.However, as our Japanese friend has said in his review, the thicker paper used this year makes this otherwise excellent book SO HEAVY that it will probably be left at home, rather than taken with me - I'm back to relying on the "Apps" which are not always as good as this book.I should have read the description which clearly and correctly states the weight as 670 grams - OVER A POUND.I'd return it, but it is as described.European Rail Timetable Ltd has lost a customer of long standing.

An Essential Tool for Planning a European Rail Adventure!
If you're going on a European trip, using train and ship travel, this is a wonderful planning tool, even if on the expensive side. The only slight downside is the book's weight which, for me, means I take notes from it, and make train & boat reservations, but leave the book at home!
European Timetable Book - Excellent Resource
This European timetable book is an excellent resource for planning your European vacation by means of the great train system in Europe. Provides train travel information first internationally followed by each European country. Highly recommend for those who want to see Europe by train.
