A Must for Donor Conceived Children

It is so hard to explain to your young child where they came from, but the trauma of being "told" in later years is something Donor Conceived people bring up. The idea is that your child should "always know", and this was the right book for our family to make that happen.We cried as we read it to my sons and daughter. We were fearful, but it was presented so beautifully. When the DNA strands connected multiple people, my oldest immediately pointed and said "That's DNA!" and while he may not know the finer points of what that means, he understood the visual as well as the content. The words were compassionate for both child and parents alike: no shame, no guilt and surprisingly well received.Highly recommend. This is THE ONE.
Well worth purchasing for your child ,great explanations targeted to younger children !
Really enjoyed reading this book with my son ,it answered some of his questions ,and great illustrations to help with explanations . Well worth purchasing
Great for young kids
I have bought a few of these books but it's hard to know the level of the explanation/detail. I was looking for a story that did not go into biological detail to use for a toddler around 2 years old. This one works.Positive: This one is great for young kids as a first introduction to egg donation. Its a good story about how some help was needed. It does not go into details like a lot of the books I have already purchased which are for older kids.Negative: its a bit long for a young kid, but you could start on a later page or not read everything to go through it faster.

Beautiful story that made me tear up.
I would have given this story 5 stars, if it had not been for the printer error. The first page of the book is a misplaced part of the middle of the story, which was very confusing at first. With that said, the story is exactly what I have been looking to read to an infant to 4 year old who was conceived through embryo adoption. It's beautifully crafted and made me tear up.
