Jesus Calling is a great morning devotion book that can help anyone deepen their knowledge, understanding, and personhood of Christ.It is perfect to keep you on track daily to recite a Bible verse and understand not only it's scriptural purpose but also it's spiritual purpose when conjoined with prayer.Also the paper quality of the pages are perfect and the cover is thick enough to make it a book proud of having, carrying it's purpose in it's weight.Would recommend to anyone looking for a guide to daily devotion.

I purchased this book for a dear friend in Australia after being given one for myself by my son. It is beautifully written as words spoken by Jesus himself based on biblical passages. Each daily reading is quite short but the words are so meaningful and are spoken directly from Jesus to the reader. It's a lovely way to start the day, only takes about five minutes to read each day and the words are beautifully written as though Jesus is speaking them directly to you. They fill your heart and soul and take you through the day reminding you always that Jesus is with you, loves you and will never leave you. This book gives me so much peace and comfort and I can face each day no matter what life throws at me knowing my Lord is with me, caring for me and loving me always.

This is my first, and probably my only Bolo review. I've been an avid reader of Christian material for 35 years and 'been around a bit'. I lead a busy life running a small company of 50 people that's a market leader in its field. That's just to put in context that I don't have a lot of time. I've never been on 'Desert Island Disks' but along with my bible, if I could only take one other book it would be this one. I'd been wondering why there wasn't a book like this on the market and as much as I like to dip into other Christian devotionals there was a gap for me. I wanted something that echoed grace, gave a short reminder that in the hectic nature of daily commerce it is possible to get 'a scent of heaven'. Shortly after this desire occured, I found myself away from the UK in Manhatten and came across it in a bookshop. I've purchased numerous copies of it since and given them to friends, vicars and colleagues. In fact the reason I'm on the site now is to buy more copies for my grown up kids. In case you haven't gathered I'm enthusiastic about this little book, it's a gem and for me a real spiritual blessing. An unqualified buy!

The book itself is beautiful and a wonderful resource, I have used mine for many years.However, this particular copy came looking as though the first three pages had somehow been folded back and then straightened out, and the whole book does not lie flat, it is somehow curled up at the bottom right hand corner as if the cover has been put on too tightly.As it is for a gift, this is a little disappointing.

Bought for a senior gift. But I have one as well .Easy to understand and great morning or evening read.
Great way to start the day
Jesus Calling is my favourite devotional. I like the one with the scriptures written out. It’s amazing how it speaks into what’s happening in my life each day and gives me great Hope.

Ein Wunderschönes Buch mit schönen Anregungen und Versen aus der Bibel. Sie sind kurz, sodass man sie auch lesen kann, wenn man wenig Zeit am Morgen hat oder am Abend müde ist. Ich habe das Gefühl, Jesus mehr in meinem Herzen und im Alltag zu haben, ihm näher zu sein und ihn auch besser kennenzulernen. Es gibt mir Mut, mehr zu vertrauen und stärkt mich in meinem (katholischen) Glauben.

Le livre ne s'inspire pas de théories compliquées et n'est pas une sorte d'explication. C'est un journal qui rappelle le lecteur, par des textes très courts, et sous les multiples angles des états d'esprit quotidiens (différents chaque jour), à la présence divine. Il réveille ainsi un sourire simple à chaque fois que les tracas du quotidien semblent obséder notre esprit. Aimer ou pas, pour ce genre de livre, c'est une question de gout. Personnellement, je trouve ce petit "journal" très agréable à consulter de temps en temps. Par contre , il ne faut pas lire plusieurs pages d'affilée car on pourrait trouver le contenu très redondant (puisque chaque page dit plus ou moins la même chose : la présence de Dieu et l'invitation à vivre dans sa présence).
