I have jumped on manh a teacher book bandwagon and purchased books based on others recommendations but this one will be the one that is in my bag, full of post its, pages thumbed and probably scrawled on. It is such a useful and well presented resource that will enable me to drive standards in science in our school whilst saving time in my own lesson planning with so many helpful ideas already linked to the strands of learning, including working scientifically links.Thanks so much for this useful resource Nicky! Highly recommend this to anyone teaching primary science.

I recently attended a course run by Nicky. After the course I purchased her book ‘ A Creative Approach to Primary Science’. I want to tell everyone how ace this book is. I managed to persuade my headteacher to buy every teacher in our school a copy and they all love too. The ideas are fantastic- so easy to follow and the kids are loving their science lessons.The ideas are really helping the teachers in my school to be more practical.

Really helpful. Have used a couple of the ideas with my Y6 class and they worked well - blowing blue and red paint through straws for the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood and making a heart pump. Something for all areas of study on the curriculum and sometimes just reading about the ideas prompts new ones. Definitely recommend for busy teachers who want quick creative lesson ideas!

I've been lucky enough to go on courses run by Nicky and she's a true inspiration. I got her book today, fresh off the press, and it's fantastic. If you want to know how to make children love science, then you need to get this book. It's full of great ideas linked to each objective. It really is a must buy.
