I love these so much. The clothes are interchangeable and it feels like a Build A Bear experience for adults. The patterns are printed at 100% and easy to hand copy onto paper or photocopy. The stories are sweet and don't take up too much of the book so you don't feel short changed on the patterns.

Beautifully produced book with life sized patterns and easy to follow instructions. Create a range of characters. Once you discover Luna and friends; trust me, you'll not stop at just making one! They are addictive!!!Enjoy, as each of your creations come to life.Great as presents.

My collection is complete with this 4th book in the Luna Luna Lapin series. You don’t need the other books as all the animals have their own patterns and the outfits are interchangeable. A word of warning though. These cuties are adorable and you’re going to become addicted to making them. Beautifully written stories and easy to follow instructions. Luna and friends have a cult like status and it’s easy to see why. You can buy all the items to make the characters/outfits from the Cool Crafting shop in kit form which is my preferred choice. Making these ‘friends’ has given me hours of pleasure and has given so much pleasure to the people I’ve gifted them to. Photo added only shows one make from this book, which is the winter skating outfit. Still got lots to make from this treasure of a book.

I bought this book as a gift for a lovely friend who had already made a couple of Luna Lapin from the first book. Seeing this one has a highland cow and an otter.Given as a gift and received with delight!

Well, I will tell you! I think this book is so lovely, because of the magical stories that accompany the gorgeous photos of the characters and the stunning clothes! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Luna and her friends are mostly easy to make, with some practice. I’d recommend all 4 of Sarah’s books. For a better idea of how to make these charming little characters, join the Facebook group… Luna Lapin’s Little World by CoolCrafting. You will find a group of people, who love Luna and friends, and are all so friendly and helpful! Once you buy the book, you can download and print the patterns, by going to DavidandCharles.com.

Thank you so much Sarah, I have purchased Book 4 as a Christmas present to myself and very excited to see the new animal and patterns, (I’ve had a little peek!). As a novice to sewing, I purchased book 3 in lockdown. Having never made anything ever, I worked my way through the book. The patterns and instructions are very clear and a joy to make, even for a novice like me. I now have all the books and the characters are an absolute joy to make. Thank you Sarah, I am so glad that I discovered Luna and her friends. I cannot recommend them enough and if I could give more stars, I would!

Lunar herself is simple to sew .All completed by hand except ears .(quicker on sewing machine.)Completed in two days ,few hours sewing each evening and afternoon.Patterns easy to follow and cut out. I photocopied pattern first on my printer.Sewing clothes …I chose to use a couple of pattern pieces from Otterlines trousers and shirt. I just altered the culottes pattern to take out pleat . They were short for Luna but the length I wanted. I was making PJs and slippers.Just had an old nightshirt hanging about . Easy to do . So she’s at least got some clothes on.Sad there’s no bloomers/knickers in this book .I think the actual clothes patterns do demand some knowledge of sewing garments.I personally felt instructions could have been written better. I will make some of the actual designs but need suitable fabric. Which means strip to fabric shop.The felt I bought a 1m.x50cm and had ample but not enough for two.For me they are quite expensive to make (felt especially wool is quite expensive). Need to get my money’s worth out of the book .Enjoyed making them ,they aren’t really toys (not washable or robust due to felt ).To be fair they are labelled as heirloom dolls so not toys as such .

I like how clear and easy the directions are. I’ve made 3 of the animals so far and am very happy with how they turned out. I definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to make stuffed toys.

Ich liebe den neuen Band. Jedes Buch der Reihe kann eigenständig für sich stehen da der Aufbau der Bücher identisch ist.Einführung, eine Geschichte in der die neuen Protagonisten vorgestellt werden, jeder Freund mit seiner Garderobe und der dazugehörigen Anleitung und Materialliste und zum Schluß die Schnittmuster in Orginalgröße. Luna ist in jedem Band zu finden, bekommt aber immer neue Kleidungsstücke passend zur neuen Geschichte.Ich mag die liebevolle Umsetzung der Freunde mit der jeweiligen zum Freund passenden Kleidung, die aber ohne Probleme austauschbar ist.Das Buch ist in englisch geschrieben, die Anleitungen sind bebildert, so daß man (auch unter Zuhilfenahme eines Wörterbuchs) alle Schritte nachvollziehen kann. Ein bißchen Vorkenntnis ist sicherlich nützlich.Die einzige Schwierigkeit für mich ist: ich muß mit den Stoffen manchmal improvisieren, da ich hier nicht alles bekomme. Da kann dann aber ggf. auch ein Secondhandladen hilfreich sein.Ich hoffe Sarah Peel kennt noch weitere Freunde von Luna, vielleicht gibt es ja auch noch weiteres Zubehör wie in Zwei der Vorgängerbüchern. Mich würde es freuen.
