I bought this as a Christmas present and was delighted with my purchase. It really is a lovely book. The print is a good size, the front cover does not have a dust sheet but is a lovely deep red with gold lettering and there is a gold edge to the pages. I would certainly recommend this book.

Good Gift Choice
This is a fantastic edition of A Christmas Carol. The silk bound cover is in a bright red and when you open it up, the inside of the covers are a deep green. The pages are festively designed and well coloured but not in anyway to distract you from reading the text. There are also several full colour illustrations throughout the book, which are just as beautiful as the rest of the book. The slipcase features very nice artwork and feels sturdy to the touch. The back of the slipcase contains a description of the book as well as the barcode which I assume was done so that the back of the actual book is unmarred.Unlike some other editions (e.g. Penguin Classics) this book doesn't include any of Dickens' other Christmas writings like "A Christmas Tree" but that's hardly an issue. There is also no bookmark as a part of the book but that's all the negatives I can come up with.This is probably a great edition to have for yourself but also a great gift idea for people that enjoy Dickens' writing or just really nice editions of classic literature.
