Beautiful and a pleasure to read
If you enjoy the psalms then this is a great little book to use and read them. Very well made and is a beautiful book.
Fantastic (except for some page ghosting)
As one who has battled with low self-esteem, I had the privilege of being counseled by one of the pioneers of Christian counseling, Buck Hatch. He was 80 years old at the time and left me with a prescription at the end of our final session: "Read a Psalm everyday - for the rest of your life." He knew the healing power of this book of prayers inspired by the One to whom they are addressed. I followed that prescription for many years but eventually it got pushed aside. This ESV book of Psalms has rekindled it. I love that this book offers only the text of these 150 Psalms without helps or commentary. Those helps are nice to have at times but can also distract me from the power of God's Word - especially when it comes to reading and praying the Psalms. This is a well constructed, 6.75 inch x 4.75 inch x 1 inch thick, leather-bound book (probably synthetic leather). The cover is a beautiful light gray color with gold embossing. It has a gray, ribbon page marker. Each verse starts on a new line which gives it more of a poetic feel. Verse numbers are relegated to the far left margin and printed in a brownish-orange color. Each Psalm also starts on a new page which seems appropriate as each is distinctly its own. Psalm headings or superscriptions, which most scholars consider to be part of the inspired text of Scripture, are included.Despite the fact that these pages are thicker than those of a typical Bible, there is quite a bit of ghosting - seeing through the paper to what it printed on the other side or even on the next page. I really only think about this ghosting when I look for it. It doesn't normally distract from what I'm reading.

I love this beautiful edition of the psalms. Beautiful cover and binding. Pages aren’t as thin as normal pages. Small and compact. Great for on the go.

I’ve wanted a standalone Book of Psalms for so long, and this one is so lovely! It’s very easy to read, and the translation they went with is nice. This would make an excellent gift, as it’s absolutely beautiful, and it’s also got very lovely product packaging. The design of everything is so thoughtful and fabulous. And then to have such a beautiful access to the Psalms is its own gift.

Absolutely stunning. This little book of the Psalms makes for a wonderful gift and would be great for having out and about. The gold foil pages are stunning and the cover is such a beautiful green. I really love it!
