The ESV translation is soon to be used in the Catholic lectionary, so I wanted to familiarise myself with it. It’s an elegant translation and based on my old friend the RSV. So we’re becoming acquainted very easily and the luxurious binding and presentation of this edition makes it even more of a pleasure.As you may have guessed by now; I highly recommend it!

Absolutely beautifully bound with real leather cover which is thick and flexible. It has gilt edged silky soft pages and 2 black ribbons with single column text and good sized font. There is nothing but scripture, no footnotes or cross references etc. just scripture so no distractions. It sits nicely in the hand and stays open, making reading so pleasurable. The simplicity of this is just beautiful. I can’t praise it highly enough. It is a fitting binding for the ESV translation which is an elegant, accurate and readable translation which retains the literary beauty of previous translations without the archaic language.

It's lovely and I agree with all the other reviews. Good quality paper, nice feel and quite small (no too small). It would have been perfect if it had Jesus' words in red. Apart from that it's a great bible.

Beautiful one column layout with goldish olive accent on the headings and chapter numbers. 8.5 font is super comfortable to read and the genuine leather makes it a real pleasure just to hold it in your hand.

Fantastic New Testament, nice portable size, if only they made it a bit bigger in size for reading then it would be unquestionable the best that has and ever will be made.

A good translation in very good production: bible paper, Smyth binding, generous inner and outer margins so that text does not fall into inner gutter, lays flat when open, real leather cover, golden ribbon.What a believers Bible should be, the NEW testament with Psalms. Get one while you can at this amazing price!
Great size, readable font
This is the best new testament I've ever had. The font is comfortable enough to read while the size is easy to hold and lightweight. It has great binding that allows it to lay flat. Paper quality is also good.
The Best New Testament with Psalms & Proverbs
This review is for ESV New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs in genuine leather. It was a pleasant surprise to see a small and thin form factor despite a readable single column format. The line spacing and line-matched font combined with gold section headings and chapter numbers give it a simple and classic look. I enjoy reading from this more than from the ESV Single Column Heritage because of the thin volume and paper. The genuine leather with vinyl liner is not as stiff as other genuine leather, making it rather floppy and not overly so. This is the best if not one of the best New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs if ESV is for you. Can’t beat the price and durability. I like it so much I reach for it whenever I think of reading the Bible, so I got a second copy to keep as a spare for a lifetime of use.
