Lovely idea with all the different cartoons and the pictures in it bought this by mistake myself it was a little bit older than I thought it was going to be for the boy who bought it for who was only 6 just so I’ve put it aside for when he is a little bit more advanced reader, but he could follow the pictures good quality nice thick pages and the pictures are funny and humorous.

Our youngest is a good but reluctant reader. The only books he is prepared to pick up and read by himself are the Investigators and Dog man - series of comic books with little text and full of dad-humor. I can understand it but its also a little frustrating as when I was his age I read far more and more comprehensive continental comic books like Tintin.Anyway he always has a great time reading the Dog Man books and this second volume is no exception book. And he always wants to share the fun and jokes with us.The softcover colourful book is attractively presented and I can't deny that the books is extremely accessible for young readers. While the hilarious stories are indeed quite funny.

My son has taken to these books like a duck to water as he continues on his reading journey. It's not the encyclopedia brittanica nor is it a novel, so don't expect them to become literary experts - however it combined the right levels of goofiness and downright madness to make it an engaging read to a youngster on a journey to continue learning to read. We have a few of these books now, along with some of the other series released by Dav.
