This book has had so many things said about it over the years. It's brilliant. The story is really great, the artwork gorgeous and colourful and full of meaning. The reviews written over the years are a lot better than mine so don't waste your time reading this, just read theirs and then buy it. You'll thank me.

I first read this series when it was published (a college friend subscribed, I wish I had that set now).It survives multiple rereadings, but I won’t review the story, you’re interested in this edition because you already like the series and want a better version.This edition is a verify huge format that will test your wrist for holding it while you read. Binding is excellent and paper and print finish as good as you can get.I have several other collections on this series eg Ronin, all equally impressive

This is a beautiful hardcover edition of watchmen. The same height as the 'batman the killing joke' deluxe edition, with the same quality extras (including new sketches). Was back and fourth between this and the absolute edition, and decided it was the better option on price. Then was amazed when opening and found how well made it is. Also the choice to purchase this over the absolute edition was further validated because it has the same recolored pages as the absolute edition. Its size is great because it is larger(being a deluxe edition) than a regular graphic novel, but smaller than the over sized absolute edition. To sum up, buy this. If you want a better copy of watchmen (compared to the worn out paperback editions) this is by far the best value for money.

I first encountered the watchmen story through the recent film. I've never bought graphic novels before but I decided to try this one out as I liked the film and the originality of the story and I have to say I was extremely pleased with it. This novel/book/comic has completely transformed my view of this format, which I'm ashamed to admit, was that it was a little simplistic. I was sceptical that you could communicate complex emotions and concepts through a format which allowed a minimal amount of text but the illustrations in this novel add a different kind of depth, and fleshed out the world expertly. Overall, an excellent read.

Why can't I buy an English version of the big book available in German?That's why I rate it 4 stars. Although it's kinda silly given it is a milestone, and deserves 6 stars any day! I you don't have this gem in your collection shame on you! ;-)Buy it at once, no hesitation!!Really looking forward to the new prequel coming soon...

So if you have not read this graphic novel before I highly suggest you do so as fast as possible!This book is written by the goat of the comic book industry! This is Alan Moore’s Swan song, and probably his greatest masterpiece!On the cover of this book, it says New York Times bestseller, and one of Time magazines, best novels of all time, and I could not agree with this comment more than I do alreadyThis is not just a graphic novel. This is a masterpiece of storytelling and I can see why this Novel has been studied, dissected and taught at the college level in writing classes, all across the planet for decadesI have read Countless works of fiction and this Is the crème de la crèmeI would say this is easily in the top 10 of all published fictional writing in the last 100 years if not the last 200 yearsThe storytelling in this novel is so layered you can read this thing two dozen times and still not get everything out of it that the author and artist wanted you to get and that’s what has made this thing such an endearing novel for over 40 yearsThis is a Masterpiece of Fictional writing/storytelling And it should not be missed because it is in the category of a graphic novel and has pretty pictures inside of it. (which are also absolutely stunning and amazing)The writer, Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons were working on a total different level when they created this masterpiece years and years ago!I cannot recommend this book more than I already am and if you pick it up, I hope you enjoy the ride and once you are finished reading it once or twice then I recommend going online and browsing the Internet for all of the secret hidden things you have missed that are buried so deep inside of this novel!

Un classico tra le grafic novel americane con una storia veramente ben scritta e disegni molto old-fashioned. Per gli amanti del genere dei super eroi DC è un libro da non perdere.Prendete la versione in lingua originale solo se siete abbastanza sicuri con l'inglese, perché il testo è abbondante e nelle vignette c'è il classico slang americano.Il libro è molto curato, sia nella carta sia nella qualità della stampa e la rilegatura della copertina è realizzata in maniera perfetta.Per me è stata un'ottima lettura.
