Absolutely adore this book! Very funny and tells the truth about what parents do for our children in such a lovely way. Brilliant illustrations by Sarah Ogilvie too.Bought another copy as ours has been read so much and taken to so many places it was wearing out!

Funny and heart-warming rhyming tale. Very popular in our house, with children and parents alike. I think it is a great story to bond with your child over (which isn't always easy in modern times as time is the most scare commodity). I personally like the slightly messy style of illustration, it's all part of the books charm. This book would make a lovely gift too. My sons favourite bit........'No More Sweets!'

5.0 out of 5 stars A brillant book with wonderful funny illustrations.

A brilliant book. The illustrations are truly, truly wonderful. All parents will empathize and enjoy it as much as the children they are reading it to. Would make the perfect gift to any new parent as well as for little kids. My daughter is 3 and loves it almost as much as me.

Fun to Read Out Loud, Very Clever Illustrations

A.C. · 16 September 2015

One of my favorite children's books this year. Clever writing, even more clever illustration. We're always looking for books the kids enjoy and are also fun for us parents to read out loud.

A great book

C.S.M. · 12 April 2014

A beautiful book. The pictures are really nice and it is funny to see how all parents go through the same situations… Our children (4 and 3) found hilarious the fact of seeing other parents doing the exactly the same things we usually do (they laughed out loud with the picture of the mum as a donkey carrying around lots of stuff and father as a horse!) You will surely enjoy this book! I think it's born to be a classic!

I really loved it
