VIVIAN TRUONG is a comic artist who has created artwork for Riot Games, miHoYo, Rebellion, and more. Her work includes the Punches and Plants webcomic series for the popular MOBA game League of Legends and the series City of dragons. She also works as a storyboard artist for game studios, a digital production studio, and a children's book publisher. She currently lives in London.

I bought this book for my 8 year old daughter and she said it was the best comic she had ever read. She has read it many times and finds it fascinating, super interesting and funny. It is an adventure story about a girl who has an unusual friend, a dragon, and she herself has dragon ancestors. The friends work together to fight the villain and save the planet. The comic has nice colourful illustrations and perfectly fits the age group of young readers.

Well, this was loads of fun! Dragons, friends, broke treaties and some proper good baddies! Grace, a mysterious dragon and someone’s plot to steal it… just brilliant! Love a story about dragons and this one doesn’t disappoint! Gorgeously told and illustrated! I can’t wait for the next one now!!

Bought this for my 11 year old who used to love reading but suddenly stopped. She’s into manga/anime, so I thought a graphic novel might just do the job, get her reading again. I bought two others at the same time - Rema Chronicles and Primer. She enjoyed all three and finished them in one or two sittings. She keeps revisiting them looking at her favourite bits in the book.

This graphic novel was a massive hit in our household, especially with my nine-year-old daughter.As a parent of a child with dyslexia, we have found that the format of graphic novels is a fantastic bridge to make reading less intimidating and more comfortable. This book captured her attention immediately and kept her hooked until the very last page.My Daughter's Review (Age 9):My daughter described the book perfectly:“It was an action-packed story! Even though there were a few scary bits—and by that I mean two—I would suggest this story for 9+ (but if your 8-year-old is close to 9, then I guess it’s fine). Even though there were guns in the story, no one got shot, and it was super fun reading it. While I read it, I wanted to get the next book already!”A Parent's Perspective on Themes:I understand some of the lower-rated reviews focus on perceived "adult themes" in the book. In my opinion, those parents have overreacted to the subject matter. The story is perfectly tailored to a 7/8+ reader and handles the fantastical action respectfully without being overly violent or inappropriate. The focus is on adventure, courage, and finding your place in the world.If you are looking for an exciting, engaging read that will keep your child turning pages and wanting more, look no further. This book is a true success!
