I have got to say the book was better than I thought it would be and even surprised me s couple of times. It is what it says in the title. A revenge tour over the years.The world as we know it has come to an end. The only hope of saving life as we know it for the survivors is for Wolverine and his team to steal a generator, but the people who have it don't want to share. How far and for how long will Wolverine pursue his vendetta? However, revenge breeds revenge.A good book not complicated just Wolverine doing what he does. There is even a decent message at the end. The book finishes with a variant covers gallery.

Trama poverella per non dire banale se non insulsa, ambientata probabilmente in un universo alternativo, avanza da un avvenimento improbabile all'altro (Capitan America e Soldato d'inverno fatti fuori senza alcuno sforzo da una confraternita di mutanti per l'occasione costituita da Mastermind, Sabretooth, Deadpool e Omega Red non si può sentire e fanno passare la voglia di proseguire la lettura già dal n. 1).Un Hickman quindi radicalmente differente dal solito, che pare scrivere al solo scopo di consentire a Capullo di mettere in atto tutto il suo repertorio di cartoonist efficace specie nelle scene di azione caratterizzate da tinte splatter qui a volte addirittura ridondanti - pur trattandosi di un'avventura dell'artigliato ed irascibile eroe canadese.L'unica buona notizia è il ritorno proprio di Capullo ai livelli qualitativi di artwork che lo hanno reso giustamente famoso, prima su Spawn e poi su Batman (in compagnia di Snyder ai testi).In sostanza, è bastato affiancare al buon Greg un inchiostratore degno di questo nome (Tim Townsend, che pure aveva fatto faville già quasi 30 anni fa in compagnia di Joe Madureira sulle pagine degli X-men) per rivederlo tornare ai suoi ottimi standard dopo una lunga serie di storie quasi brutalizzate dalle approssimative chine di Jonathan Glapion.Un albo che consiglierei di acquistare esclusivamente ai fan del personaggio o del disegnatore, diversamente troverei modi migliori di spendere i soldi del prezzo di acquisto.NOTA BENE: l'albo è uscito sia in versione "normale" che in versione "red band": quest'ultima contiene dettagli relativi alla colorazione nonchè vignette o intere tavole NON incluse nella versione normale caratterizzate da un gore ancora più spinto. Non molta roba comunque. Qui abbiamo parlato dell'edizione normale.

A really dark alternative universe tale with Wolverine and what’s left of the Marvel Universe versus his greatest foes after an apocalyptic disaster. One of the best Wolvie stories I’ve read since Old Man Logan. Quite an ending.

I don’t collect comics anymore. I but collections in the form of 1 book for vacations. I enjoyed it and read it twice.
