I was very happy with this book as it was exactly what I needed, a direct and clearly written guide to setting up a You Tube channel. The book does not assume that the reader has prior experience which is a good thing and offers detailed instructions as to the 'Nuts and bolts' of the entire process.There is also a lot of advice and practical tips on how to publicise and promote your channel once you have created it, as well as advice on content creation.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to set up a You Tube channel but has little or no experience of how You Tube works. Overall a well thought out and well written guide to the subject.

He absolutely loves it. Easy to understand. Point out important but often overlooked topics. He is doing well with his own photography YT channel step by step.

Quite comprehensive ,definitely a good buy for someone who is considering diving into this field.Some said it is basic ,but I think it does a great job of covering everything you need to know and it is good to have advice in hard copy to read . I would also recommend end as a companion book to this “ YouTube secrets “ by Sean Cannel and benji travis . If you have these two books you have the whole thing covered from beginner to expert

An annoying guide. If I wanted to do something about setting up a YouTube channel, I'd look in the index for the topic or action and rarely found what I wanted. Then I'd go on YouTube and take a tutorial about the action I wanted to take. So helpful but not as good as other Dummy books.

Very useful resource indeed v detailed through 374 pages a lot on content strategy and engaging audience and how to evolve the process over time. Very good value for money and very recommendable for utube development.

Amazing information for modern Youtube, its algorithm, and creating content. Underrated.
I highly recommend this book compared to the other most popular books surrounding modern Youtube. It is geared more towards those who are planning or are still starting out on Youtube, but the information is invaluable. It is also a nice book to refresh already established channels about modern changes/features to Youtube as well. I feel like this book is a combination of Youtube Secrets and Crushing Youtube (two popular books mainly about the same topics).What I really appreciate is the chapter dedicated entirely to Copyright and Fair Use. I've read 4 other books about Youtube in a short span of time, and none of them addressed the issue of Copyright as much as this book. It's something I think people really gloss over on modern Youtube, as it has been a temperamental topic for many years now. With Youtube's policies changing every year, this book highlighted key information for approaching content creation on Youtube in today's age.Pros:+Amazing amount of information about Youtube (metadata, equipment, tips for content creation, etc.).+Updated information regarding Youtube policies and its algorithm.+Useful pictures/links to explain the material.+Flexibility in Chapters (you don't have to read from start to finish. You can skip around a bit and still learn great amounts of info).Neutral:-Not all chapters will likely apply to everyone in this book. But the amount of useful information in this book compared to others books about Youtube still succeeds over them.I really appreciate the authors taking the time to explain the ins and outs of Youtube in such a well constructed, detailed book. This is the best option for understanding modern Youtube right now imo. From helping create awesome content to details about the mysterious algorithm. 5/5
