This is a great no-nonsense book which tells you calmly how to succeed in your MLM business. When you first start as a distributor, there is an abundance of information from uplines and other distributors and you are encouraged to get started as soon as possible - this book doesn't dispute that but reminds you that pack-horses last longer than race-horses and tells you how to focus your business to be the best pack-horse you can be. I'm glad I read it early on in my business as it's stopped me from panicking that two months in, I'm not about to retire on my MLM profits!

I gave this book the highest rating possible because it is a "Must Read" National Best Seller, and because, if you already know the "potential" of Network Marketing, in this book you will discover: 1) How wealth is actually created; 2) The psychology of "Personal Success"; 3) How to change the way you were taught to think during K to 12th Grade, and even in completing a college degree, to "How to think and live as an "Entreprenuer"; 4) How to effectively Lead a Downline; 5) How to set "realistic" financial expectations; 6) How to "take charge of your own life and financial future"; 7) And How to Succeed at Network Marketing. This is a very practical guide to how to master the art of Network Marketing, one of the most powerful business models in the market place today. You can no longer afford to be uneducated. Network Marketing is a relatively new Business Model that has continued to evolve, and this book leads you to guides and insights that take you through the process of learning how to become a successful Entreprenuer. The best part about reading this Best Seller, is that Dr. Tom Barrett, has already written another book to follow this one providing new guidelines and insights, taking up where he left off, in another must read book titled, "Success Happens! Let if Happen to You in Network Marketing". Both books go together as a set. You will want to read this one first.

This is an excellent in depth detailed explanation of the subject.
My Favorite
I've read a number of network marketing books since I added a complementary network marketing business to my coaching business 2 1/2 years ago. This is hands down my favorite! Even though it was written 12 years ago, it's still a valuable resource that I wish I'd know about when I first started in this business. I like the practical information in helping people understand the value of network marketing, creating new ways of thinking, being realistic about financial expectation, getting out of their own way psychologically, and understanding the leadership role.I recommend that every one of my business representatives read this book too. I'm now reading Barrett's next book, Success Happens! It appears to be just as valuable as this one.
